About This Role

SUMMARY

The Marketing Operations Manager is responsible for collaborating with marketing leadership to develop and implement innovative campaigns that support branding, entertainment, food and beverage, and promotional programming. This role analyzes target audiences and evaluates promotional performance to inform future strategies and reporting. The Marketing Operations Manager also provides comprehensive support to the Marketing Department across a wide range of initiatives, including website and social media content, creative design, and video production, ensuring consistent and effective communication of the brand.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES \& RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees day\-to\-day Marketing operations across key functional areas, including campaign workflow, calendar management, production and vendor coordination, and support of guest\-facing operational programs.
  • Serves as a primary operational liaison between Marketing and other departments to ensure campaigns and initiatives are executed accurately, on time, and in alignment with property objectives.
  • Provides strategic operational oversight by identifying opportunities for process improvement, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) for marketing operations, and supporting cross\-departmental coordination.
  • Collaborates with marketing team members to plan, execute, and monitor effective marketing programs that support overall business objectives and guest engagement.
  • Partners with leadership to develop and implement promotional campaigns that introduce new products, amenities, and attractions.
  • Works closely with the Database team to develop, review, and submit all promotional rules to the Pauma Gaming Commission in a timely and compliant manner.
  • Assists in tracking event budgets, expenses, and resources to support operational and financial goals.
  • Develops and maintains editorial and content calendars across multiple media platforms to ensure consistent and strategic messaging.
  • Oversee the design, placement, and execution of website content, social media, and email marketing communications to ensure brand consistency and effectiveness.
  • Analyzes past social media and email campaigns to evaluate performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
  • Monitors campaign performance and effectiveness, making data\-driven adjustments and presenting new ideas or strategies as needed.
  • Supports both outbound and inbound marketing initiatives by contributing expertise in areas such as event planning, advertising, and entertainment, including content optimization and development.
  • Addresses guest concerns or service issues during events and promotions, ensuring timely and appropriate resolution.
  • Manages and monitors marketing budgets related to campaigns, promotions, and entertainment, ensuring alignment with financial goals and efficient use of resources.
  • Collaborates cross\-functionally with internal departments to ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives and promotions.
  • Ensures all marketing activities and promotions comply with company policies, procedures, and applicable gaming regulations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of three (3\) years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, event planning, brand management, or hospitality operations, preferably within a casino environment; experience providing oversight or coordination of staff or functions preferred.
  • Strong initiative and self\-direction with the ability to work independently and provide guidance to others with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and follow\-up skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast\-paced environment.
  • Mathematical and analytical skills with the ability to review campaign performance, event\-related data, and promotional outcomes.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly across departments and with team members.
  • Highly detail\-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy, quality, and brand consistency.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event and promotion schedules.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn casino, marketing, and event management systems.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing platforms and tools, including social media management, email marketing software, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Ads, Google Ads).
  • Strong understanding of social media strategy and experience managing key social media channels.
  • Experience supporting or overseeing creative development, including print collateral, branding, and marketing materials across multiple media platforms.
  • Experience with graphic design and content creation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro) preferred.
  • Ability to stay current with marketing trends, technology, and best practices, and apply them to improve marketing effectiveness.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Marketing to support departmental and organizational objectives.

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Hospitality, Event Management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience (three (3\) to four (4\) years) in marketing, events, and/or promotions.

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to successfully pass a pre\-employment drug screen, background investigation, and maintain Pauma Gaming Commission License.
