Bellrae Marketing is a high-touch, strategy-led marketing agency serving service-based businesses. We are seeking a senior marketing leader to step into a fractional role overseeing the day-to-day operations of a growing agency while acting as the strategic decision-maker across all client accounts.
This is not an execution role. This position exists to take ownership of agency delivery, guide client strategy, lead internal processes, and ensure high-performance standards across social media, SEO, email marketing, and website projects.
You will be charged with making strategic decisions for client accounts, owning outcomes, and helping build the systems, team, and structure required to scale.

Founder Transition & Ownership
This role is designed to assume ownership of day-to-day agency operations and client strategy, allowing the founder to step out of internal decision-making and focus on long-term growth and vision.
You will serve as the primary operational and strategic leader for the agency, making decisions, guiding the team, and owning client outcomes without requiring founder involvement in daily execution.

Role Overview
The Fractional Head of Strategy & Delivery serves as the account strategist of record across all client accounts, providing high-level strategic direction, quality control, and internal guidance. This role works closely with the founder and internal team to ensure all client work aligns with best practices and Bellrae’s standards.
This role has real decision-making authority and acts as the internal escalation point for strategy-related questions. The right person will take pride in owning the quality and integrity of our work, not just advising on it.
Core Responsibilities
Strategic Oversight & Account Strategy
- Serve as the primary account strategist across all client accounts
- Review social media content, blog topics, email newsletters, and campaigns to ensure strategic alignment, quality, and best practices
- Provide clear strategic direction and course-correction when needed
- Make judgment calls confidently without requiring founder approval
- Act as a steward of the Bellrae brand by ensuring consistency, clarity, and excellence across all client deliverables
SEO Strategy & Editorial Planning
- Conduct keyword research for select client accounts
- Develop SEO-driven editorial calendars aligned with client goals and search intent
- Guide writers and content creators with clear, strategic direction
- Review and approve content plans to ensure SEO best practices and long-term results
Website Strategy & Project Leadership
- Lead website redesign projects from a strategy and oversight perspective
- Own website strategy, structure, messaging, and SEO direction
- Guide designers, developers, and internal team members through the process
- Review wireframes, copy, and site structure to ensure strategic alignment
- Ensure projects remain focused, high-quality, and aligned from kickoff through launch
Internal Strategy Leadership & Team Support
- Act as the internal escalation point for strategy-related questions
- Provide clear guidance and direction to the internal team
- Run or participate in internal strategy or leadership meetings as needed
- Coach and develop team members at a leadership level, setting high standards while supporting growth
- Reduce founder involvement in day-to-day strategic decisions by fully owning this layer of the business
Process Development & Client Fulfillment
- Create and refine client fulfillment frameworks and documentation
- Develop high-level marketing processes to support consistent, scalable delivery
- Guide the team in adopting and following strategic workflows
- Identify gaps or inefficiencies and proactively recommend improvements
What This Role Is Not
To ensure clarity and sustainability, this role does not include:
- Day-to-day client communication or account management
- Writing or executing content
- Daily project management or task tracking
- Managing internal operations, HR, or administrative tasks
- Being available on demand throughout the workday
Ideal Candidate
- 7–10+ years of experience in marketing strategy (agency experience strongly preferred)
- Deep understanding of SEO, content strategy, and digital marketing best practices
- Comfortable leading website strategy and redesigns
- Strong decision-making skills with an ownership-driven mindset
- High standards for quality, performance, and results
- Experience working with or leading small marketing teams
- Organized, thoughtful, systems-oriented, and proactive

Growth Opportunity
This role is designed as a fractional leadership position, with the opportunity to expand into a full-time role as the agency continues to grow. We are looking for someone who wants to build something meaningful, take ownership, and grow alongside the business.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $2,500.00 - $5,000.00 per month
Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
