What we do

The RevOps Report tracks the revenue operations job market weekly. We collect, clean, and analyze job postings across RevOps, Sales Ops, Marketing Ops, CS Ops, Deal Desk, and Enablement roles to surface the data that matters: who's hiring, what they're paying, what tools they require, and what skills they value.

We also review revenue technology tools from a practitioner perspective. No vendor sponsorships, no pay-to-play. We buy, test, and evaluate the tools RevOps teams use.

How the data works

Every week, we collect job postings from major job boards and company career pages. Each posting is classified by:

  • Role type: RevOps, Sales Ops, Marketing Ops, CS Ops, Deal Desk, Enablement, Business Ops
  • Seniority level: Entry, Mid, Senior, Lead, Director, VP, C-Level
  • Location: City-level, with remote flagging
  • Compensation: Min/max salary when disclosed
  • Tools mentioned: CRM, MAP, engagement platforms, analytics tools

Salary benchmarks use only positions with disclosed compensation ranges. We don't estimate or impute missing salaries. When we say "average salary," it's the mean of actual posted ranges, not a guess.

Who Built This

Rome Thorndike is the founder of The RevOps Report and VP of Revenue at Firmograph.ai. He has directly managed revenue operations throughout his career, leading Salesforce and HubSpot implementations across multiple companies. Over 15+ years in B2B sales and revenue leadership at Salesforce, Microsoft, Snapdocs (Sequoia-backed), and Datajoy (acquired by Databricks), Rome has built RevOps functions from scratch and partnered with RevOps leaders to drive pipeline efficiency and data hygiene. He holds an MBA from UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business where he studied statistical analysis and machine learning. He built The RevOps Report because RevOps professionals are building the operating system of modern revenue teams and deserve career intelligence based on real market data.
