Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer, CHOC Foundation, the Associate Vice President serves as a key member of the Foundation Leadership Team and provides strategic leadership across business operations, data, and systems. This role is responsible for maximizing the value of the Foundation’s data assets through data analysis and management to drive fundraising performance, operational excellence, and scalable growth.

The AVP leads the Foundation’s enterprise data and systems strategy, ensuring best\-in\-class business processes, high\-quality data governance, and strong data integrity. The position is responsible for contributing units including gift administration, fund management, and prospect development and oversees seamless coordination of business operations. Through advanced analytics and performance insights, this position enables data\-driven decision\-making, operational excellence, and long\-term scalability.

Pay Range

Minimum $138,757 Midpoint $208,125 Maximum $277,514

  • Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.*

Experience

  • Required: Minimum seven (7\) years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising. Working knowledge of the principles and practices of fund raising in a healthcare setting including capital campaign experience.

Education

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree.

Training

  • Required: None required.

Specialized Skills

  • Required: Demonstrated management skills to organize, direct, motivate, and evaluate the efforts of professionals and volunteers. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work harmoniously with the Foundation Vice President, Board Members, Senior Leadership team, physicians, donors, volunteers, and staff. Ability to participate constructively and harmoniously with other senior management and staff in devising, analyzing, implementing, and evaluating the organization's overall needs. An accomplished development professional dedicated to the field as a career and capable of building respect for the Foundation internally. Demonstrated ability to communicate persuasively, orally and in writing, the importance of philanthropy and the fundraising goals of the CHOC Children's Foundation. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Ability to think critically and articulate opinions. A hands\-on approach to the responsibilities of the position. Unquestionable integrity and a strong sense of professional ethics. Ability to set goals; promote teamwork to achieve CHOC's mission; and understand and exceed customer expectations.
