- This role may require periodic travel to our offices for strategy sessions, team collaboration, and planning meetings.*
- Direct experience in mortgage lending or financial services marketing is strongly preferred but not required.*
Position Overview
The Mortgage Exchange is seeking a high level, self directed Director of Marketing to lead the development and execution of our marketing strategy in close collaboration with executive leadership. This role is responsible for building, refining, and executing a comprehensive marketing plan that strengthens our brand, drives lead generation, and supports long term growth.
Our reputation in the market is strong. Our digital presence does not reflect it. We are seeking a strategic operator who can elevate brand consistency, build scalable lead generation systems, and implement the infrastructure required to support growth while aligning closely with ownership on vision, messaging, and direction.
This role requires C level thinking combined with hands on execution. Strategy and execution must work together.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy and Development
- Audit and refine brand identity to ensure consistency across all platforms
- Elevate visual presentation, messaging, and positioning in collaboration with leadership
- Establish and maintain brand standards across digital and print
Marketing Infrastructure
- Build and optimize CRM systems to fully leverage our existing database
- Develop funnels and automation prior to launching paid campaigns
- Align marketing systems with sales processes to ensure seamless lead flow
- Establish tracking systems to measure performance and ROI
Lead Generation and Growth
- Develop and execute digital advertising strategy across Google and Meta
- Create organic social media strategies to strengthen authority and brand presence
- Generate new purchase and refinance opportunities through multichannel campaigns
- Implement performance marketing strategies with continuous testing and optimization
Content and Creative
- Oversee and execute graphic design for digital, social, web, and print
- Manage website updates and enhancements
- Develop compelling copy that resonates with borrowers and referral partners
Database and CRM Strategy
- Segment and market to the existing client database
- Build automated nurture campaigns for past clients and referral partners
- Develop long term relationship marketing systems
Leadership and Execution
- Operate with strong initiative and limited day to day direction
- Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic decisions
- Establish measurable marketing KPIs
- Report on pipeline contribution and marketing ROI
- Build and scale a marketing team as growth justifies
Qualifications
- Proven experience building marketing systems from the ground up
- Strong digital advertising background with measurable results
- Deep understanding of CRM automation and funnel development
- Experience in mortgage, financial services, or real estate preferred
- Strong design sensibility and brand development expertise
- Analytical and performance driven mindset
- Executive level communication and collaboration skills
Compensation
Salary will consist of a competitive base in rage of 75k\-100k plus Performance based bonus will be structured around clearly defined revenue growth targets and marketing performance metrics agreed upon with executive leadership.
