Those goods are sold into big box, specialty sleep and department store retail channels. Within the sleep market, the Company is recognized as a global market leader of urethane foam manufacturing, having entered the market 20 years ago with sustained dominance across a number of “soft home” and “home furnishings” product categories. Our retail business partners continue to thrive based on our ability to deliver advanced merchandising solutions/strategies, exceptionally high quality products made domestically and abroad. The HealthCare Consumer Division is projecting to double in size each of the next three years.

POSITION OVERVIEW

While the position can be home based at times, HealthCare Consumer Products division needs this role to establish a regular presence in our new 300,000 sq foot warehouse in Rock Hill, SC. The Director of Planning/Business Analysis: (Planning, Forecasting, and Business Analytics) manages planning, forecasting by evaluating and identifying trends in sales using on\-hand inventory, customer forecasts and purchase orders. This will require someone with the ability to aggregate and examine data from internal and external sources, build the necessary reports and views to then advise purchasing to make the appropriate decisions on production and inbound flow of goods. Timing of shipments and placement of orders is highly critical to meet shipping windows that are communicated by our retailers. HealthCare Consumer Products division is experiencing significant growth so this position will need to be able to scale upwards with the expanding customer base and corresponding inventories. As the business continues to grow, the ideal candidate would be able to hire/screen/manage an administrative team to support the various functions of this newly formed department. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Data, Planning, Supply Chain

  • Data: Identify internal and external sources of data for demand planning and forecasting.
  • Build and maintain accurate reports that can be referenced and distributed by the executive leadership team. These reports can be simple at first but will need to continuously improve into scalable tools with real time data feeds. (The appropriate funding will be available as we do not need this to be home grown reporting)
  • Review sales data past and present to improve efficiency, productivity and accuracy in future performance.
  • Planning: Ability to support sales team in forecasting meetings that will include the category planners from our customers (the enterprise retailer)
  • Set up an office environment that will eventually host the administrative team necessary to support a multi\-million dollar business.
  • Supply Chain: Rationalize and initiate the purchase of new products
  • Take possession of the Product Specifications Sheet for a newly created product provided by HealthCare Product Development Director
  • Must develop an understanding of the product components (for textiles, fabrics, foams, etc), the corresponding vendors/manufacturers.
  • Once approved by EVP, the Director of Planning initiates the purchasing functions with the appropriate Purchasing personnel at HQ in Winnsboro, SC or at Global HQ in China.

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferred: knowledge of the consumer goods industry
  • Preferred but not required: Super user or functional experience with SAP
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Office Apps
  • Deep knowledge of data manipulation tools like Excel. SQL is a plus
  • Possesses strong problem\-solving skills, math and writing skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to think both analytically and creatively
  • Communicates clearly and effectively
  • Manages time efficiently

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:* Bachelor of Science in business administration, logistics, finance, or marketing, or a related field or equivalent experience

  • Business/sales analysis preferred.
