About This Role

Position Overview

The General Manager (GM) is responsible for the full operational leadership of the club. This role ensures the gym runs efficiently, profitably, and at a standard that reflects our brand: a high\-touch, boutique fitness experience where members feel like family.

Our members are successful, busy professionals who expect convenience, cleanliness, precision, and exceptional service. The GM ensures that every touchpoint—front desk, facility, programming, events, communication—meets or exceeds that expectation.

This is a leadership role requiring operational rigor, emotional intelligence, service discipline, and creative collaboration.

This is a small business. Owner and operated by a veteran of the fitness industry who relocated to Savannah.

After growing the club and setting operations it is time to bring in a caring and connected human to take the reins of the desk team and show Savannah what excellence can look like.

Core Responsibilities

1\. Club Operations \& Standards

  • Oversee all day\-to\-day gym operations.
  • Ensure the facility is consistently clean, organized, and operating to brand standards.
  • Implement and maintain cleaning, maintenance, and service SOPs.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and revise workflows to improve productivity and member experience.
  • Monitor facility needs and communicate club issues promptly to ownership/management.

2\. Team Leadership \& Staff Management

  • Hire, onboard, train, and manage the front desk team.
  • Establish service standards and enforce accountability.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and performance reviews.
  • Create schedules and manage payroll within budget parameters.
  • Develop a culture of professionalism, warmth, and ownership among staff.
  • Ensure team members deliver consistent, exceptional service at every member interaction.

3\. Member Experience \& Retention

  • Lead by example in delivering superior customer service.
  • Resolve member concerns quickly and professionally.
  • Ensure proactive follow\-up with members when issues arise.
  • Maintain a welcoming, family\-like environment while serving a high\-performing clientele.
  • Oversee VIP member experience and ensure white\-glove service standards.

4\. Brand \& Community Integration

  • Act as an ambassador for the club within the Savannah community.
  • Integrate art, music, and curated experiences into the club environment.
  • Work closely with ownership on marketing promotions and content generation.
  • Collaborate on campaigns designed to drive membership growth and engagement.
  • Serve as point person for club partners and special guests.

5\. Financial Oversight \& Accountability

  • Manage payroll and staffing costs responsibly.
  • Monitor front desk sales processes and promotional execution.
  • Ensure operational decisions align with profitability and long\-term growth goals.

Job Types: Full\-time, Part\-time

Pay: $50,000\.00 \- $60,000\.00 per year

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
