This position’s primary purpose is to provide oversight to the Budget & Position Management functions of the Oregon State Hospital. This position provides leadership and management of OSH’s budget by planning, organizing, and overseeing budget preparation, execution and monitoring. This position is responsible for the development and execution of the budget process, position management and hospital-staffing plans. This position makes recommendations to and collaborates with the Business Services Director, Deputy of Finance & Administration, and the Chief Financial Officer to meet the financial strategic objectives of the Oregon State Hospital.

Minimum Qualifications: These qualifications must be reflected in your application for consideration.

Six years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience; OR three years of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

  • Experience in planning and development of complex budgetary, financial and operational analyses to support patient care and ensure financial solvency.
  • Experience in managing the planning and development of budget and operational analyses that impact expenditures and revenue.
  • Experience overseeing the technical budget development process and forecast of budget needs for staffing, equipment, and supplies.
  • Experience overseeing budget projections and escalating expenditure and budget concerns to leadership.
  • Experience overseeing position management functions to include coordination with human resources and budget leadership; directing position actions; providing oversight to staffing and budget changes.

  • The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying range. If the successful candidate qualifies for PERS, the salary range will increase by 6.95%. For more information, see the Classification and Compensation page.
