Job overview and responsibilities
- Performs non\-pilot duties to support the Chief Pilot Office on daily operational/administrative duties
- Assists in coordinating base activities, special projects, recognition efforts or providing general work guidance to operational staff as assigned
- Acts as a backup to the Business Manager while out of office at meetings or on vacation
- Will assist in training and mentoring the other administrative staff at the base
- Interfaces with Human Resources on various complex pilot issues; medical, life insurance and wellness
- Provides a first point of contact with pilots in administering and communicating operational policies, procedures and facilitation direction to resolve issues
- Processes all base Pilot Retirement procedures
- Will be the primary contact for all pilots going out on and returning from Long Term Disability, Parental and Maternity, and sick leaves
- Pilot dependability\- oversight for daily Pilot Reliability tracking
- Coordinates with Crew Scheduling in concerns to pilots’ leaves
- May assist in budgetary efforts, complete base audits and manage local reports
- Some audits may include the OSHA facility audits and other safety related documentation including OIS reporting
- Track state specific leaves of absence (CO FAMLI)
Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
- High School Diploma
- 2 \- 4 years administrative support experience
- Experience working in an operations environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Working knowledge of ALPA contract and/or other collective bargaining agreements
- Positive attitude and ability to adapt to constantly changing work environment
- Highly organized, and the ability to multi\-task competing priorities
- Ability to work with other team members across the organization and with Base leadership
- Excellent communications skills \- written and verbal
- Excellent time management skills
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications)
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3\+ years Flight Operations experience
- Proven experience in employee and customer advocacy
- Experience administering union contracts
- CCS\+, Pilot Records, Pilot Reliability, Manager’s Toolbox
- Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem\-solving capabilities
The base pay range for this role is $66,500\.00 to $86,616\.00\.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job\-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long\-term incentive compensation awards.
