About This Role
General Summary Velocity is seeking a strategic, data\-driven Director of Sales Operations to lead and scale our revenue infrastructure within a high\-growth telecommunications MSP environment.
Reporting directly to the Chief Sales Officer, this role will architect and optimize the systems, processes, analytics, and cross\-functional alignment that power predictable revenue growth. You will oversee Sales Operations, RevOps alignment, CRM strategy (HubSpot), trade show operations, forecasting, and strategic initiatives—while building and leading a high\-performing team.
This is a high\-impact leadership opportunity for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, systems, analytics, and people leadership. Primary Duties \& Responsibilities
Drive Revenue Performance \& Predictability
- Partner with the CSO to translate revenue strategy into operational execution.
- Own forecasting, pipeline governance, territory planning, and quota modeling.
- Deliver accurate, executive\-level reporting on bookings, MRR/ARR growth, churn, margin, and sales velocity.
- Improve sales productivity through process optimization and performance analytics.
Lead Revenue Operations (RevOps)
- Align Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success around shared metrics, lifecycle stages, and reporting standards.
- Build scalable frameworks from lead generation through renewal and expansion.
- Reduce revenue leakage through improved handoffs and operational visibility.
- Oversee sales compensation administration and performance tracking.
Own CRM \& Revenue Systems (HubSpot)
- Lead the strategy, governance, and optimization of HubSpot CRM.
- Ensure strong adoption, clean data, automation, and actionable reporting.
- Manage integrations with CPQ tools, carrier systems, billing platforms, and marketing automation.
- Develop dashboards that provide real\-time insights for executive decision\-making.
Execute Strategic Initiatives
- Lead cross\-functional projects such as new service launches, sales process redesign, pricing updates, and system migrations.
- Support revenue operations for acquisitions and new vendor/carrier partnerships.
- Build scalable processes to support continued company growth.
Direct Trade Show \& Field Event Operations
- Oversee planning and operational execution for trade shows and industry conferences.
- Establish pipeline targets and ROI benchmarks for events.
- Ensure seamless lead capture, CRM integration, and post\-event follow\-up workflows.
- Deliver measurable ROI reporting on event\-driven pipeline and revenue.
Build \& Lead a High\-Performing Team
- Recruit, develop, and mentor Sales Operations and RevOps team members.
- Create a culture of accountability, data\-driven decision\-making, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and frontline sales leaders.
Qualifications, Education and Experience
- 5–7 years of Sales Operations or Revenue Operations leadership experience within a telecommunications MSP environment.
- Strong understanding of telecom solutions including connectivity, SD\-WAN, cloud, managed services, and recurring revenue models.
- Hands\-on expertise managing and optimizing HubSpot CRM.
- Proven ability to align cross\-functional revenue teams.
- Experience leading strategic initiatives and operational transformation.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills (forecasting, compensation, KPI design).
- Demonstrated success leading and developing teams.
