About This Role

Overview

We are seeking a strategic and analytical Sales Operations Manager to lead, optimize, and scale our sales organization. This role does not carry an individual sales quota. Instead, it focuses on managing Sales Managers and Business Development Managers, establishing KPIs, driving performance accountability, and ensuring operational excellence across the sales function. The ideal candidate is a strong leader, data\-driven decision\-maker, and cross\-functional collaborator who can turn strategy into measurable results.

Duties

  • Oversee the entire sales operations function, including pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting to support strategic decision\-making.
  • Lead and develop a high\-performing sales team with a focus on outside sales, account management, and technical sales.
  • Implement and optimize CRM systems such as Salesforce to streamline sales processes and improve data accuracy.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns that generate qualified leads and expand market reach.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of sales metrics to identify trends, opportunities for growth, and areas for improvement.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing strategies with clients while ensuring alignment with company policies and profit objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing sales workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing innovative solutions.

Experience

  • Previous experience in outside sales, B2B sales, or technology sales with a track record of exceeding targets, although this position will not be responsible for generating sales, but overseeing positions responsible for creating sales.
  • Strong management skills with experience leading diverse sales teams in a fast\-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or similar tools for managing customer relationships and pipeline data.
  • Demonstrated ability in business development, account management, and negotiation strategies that close high\-value deals.
  • Excellent analysis skills to interpret complex data sets for strategic planning and operational improvements.
  • Knowledge of marketing principles as they relate to lead generation and brand positioning within competitive markets.
