Position Summary \- The Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in overseeing the daily operations and overall performance of the store. This role assists in driving sales, supporting service operations, maintaining inventory discipline, and ensuring strong customer experience standards across all departments.The Assistant General Manager helps ensure the store operates efficiently, profitably, and in alignment with company expectations. This position requires hands\-on leadership, strong organizational skills, and the ability to step in and lead any department when necessary.
Responsibilities \- The Assistant General Manager supports sales performance by helping monitor daily activity, ensuring strong lead follow\-up, maintaining CRM discipline, and reinforcing proper deal structure and add\-on presentation. This role assists in reviewing close rates, gross margins, and used inventory movement to help ensure targets are met. In service and parts operations, the Assistant General Manager helps oversee workflow, technician productivity, and customer satisfaction, while ensuring communication between departments remains strong and aligned. Inventory management support includes maintaining accurate inventory records, assisting with aging unit review, ensuring proper showroom and lot presentation, and helping monitor trade\-in intake and used inventory readiness. Customer data compliance is required at all times. The Assistant General Manager reinforces the expectation that every customer interaction captures full name, phone number, and email address, and that all information is entered into the CRM system immediately and accurately. This role also supports local marketing execution, including oversight of online listings such as Facebook Marketplace, ensuring inventory is presented properly, and inquiries are responded to quickly. Rental fleet oversight and delivery coordination may also fall under this role as directed by the General Manager. The Assistant General Manager helps lead and develop store personnel, supports hiring and training efforts, and promotes a culture of accountability, teamwork, and performance. This position must be capable of stepping in to manage the store in the absence of the General Manager.
Qualifications \- Candidates must have prior leadership experience within a retail environment, preferably with exposure to both sales and service operations. Strong organizational skills, problem\-solving ability, and experience working with CRM systems are preferred. The ideal candidate demonstrates initiative, accountability, and the ability to support multi\-department operations effectively.
