Business Operations Manager (Swim School) Role Summary We are a growing swim school focused on delivering high\-quality instruction and an exceptional customer experience. As we continue to grow, we are adding a Business Operations Manager to strengthen our systems, improve operational consistency, and support performance across the business. This role partners closely with ownership and the Site Leader to improve day\-to\-day operations, implement efficient processes, and ensure the business runs in a structured, predictable, and scalable way. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys building systems, improving workflows, using data to drive decisions, and holding teams accountable to high standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operations \& Process Improvement
- Evaluate and improve operational processes and workflows across the business
- Implement systems that increase efficiency, accountability, and team coordination
- Provide operational leadership during high\-demand periods to keep teams organized and focused
- Strengthen communication and alignment between front desk, instructors, and leadership
Data, Reporting \& Performance Tracking
- Build and maintain weekly KPI dashboards (conversion, retention, staffing, utilization)
- Track key operational and business metrics
- Analyze performance trends and identify opportunities for improvement
- Turn data into actionable recommendations—not just reporting
Forecasting \& Planning
- Project staffing needs and capacity constraints (4–8 weeks ahead)
- Identify risks related to growth, staffing gaps, or underutilized classes
- Support hiring planning and operational readiness for demand
Facility \& Operational Infrastructure
- Oversee facility management, vendor coordination, and maintenance systems
- Implement preventative maintenance schedules
- Ensure a clean, safe, and high\-quality environment at all times
Auditing \& Accountability
- Own audit systems, enforce operational standards, and eliminate recurring issues through structured solutions
- Ensure SOP adherence across all shifts
- Identify gaps and follow through to resolution
- Reinforce accountability across team members and managers
Financial \& Labor Support
- Own operational performance tracking and provide clear visibility into financial and labor metrics
- Monitor labor efficiency and scheduling effectiveness
- Manage costs while maintaining service quality
Qualifications
- 4–7\+ years of experience in operations, business management, or similar roles
- Strong experience improving processes and implementing systems
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast\-paced, service\-based environment
- Financial literacy and comfort reviewing business metrics and reports
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem\-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively across different teams (frontline \+ leadership)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field preferred

- Partners with the Site Leader (Senior AM), who owns team execution and people management, while this role owns systems, performance visibility, and operational infrastructure
- Escalates conflicts to Owner when cross\-functional alignment is required
