About This Role
The Sales Operations Manager is responsible for the daily support of the sales function to minimize administrative work and be the first line of management and support for the Sales Team. Accountable for managing all sales support functions including analyzing and reporting sales data, communicating changes to sales plans, providing knowledge about customers and competitors, communicating pricing data, and managing the operational logistics of the Sales team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the VP of Sales in supporting and guiding Business Development Managers, Inside Sales Account Managers, National Sales Managers and Manufacturer Reps
- Assist the VP of Sales in tracking and accountability of sales goals with the Sales team
- Proactively oversee current National and Key Account Programs with an emphasis on ROI and strategic company goals
- Facilitate and roll out National Account program relationship management, implementation, updates, changes and follow\-up
- Manage, implement and communicate all Buying Group programs and information
- Sales strategy
- Marketing requirements
- Program strategies
- Directly supervises the workload, responsibilities and performance of the Sales Operations team, including but not limited to:
- Marketing request forms
- Commission processing
- Tradeshow booking
- Travel booking
- Sales reporting
- Makes recommendations on the support requirements within the department and elevates performance issues, advancement suggestions and other change of status requirements to the Director of Operations
- Manage all special pricing and programs including onboarding of new programs
- Manage pricing changes, adjustments and increases
- Coop and rebate approvals (ad hoc without programs)
- Collections support for Accounting with Sales team
- Discontinued SKU’s communications and timelines for National Accounts
- Minimum of 5\-8 years of Sales and Operations experience
- Associates degree in related field
- Strong verbal, written, organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills to include Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet
- Highly organized and detailed oriented
- Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
- Ability to hold company and employee information confidential
- Initiative and drive based personality
- Be motivated and work towards meeting and/or exceeding individual and team goals
- Work as a team with ability to share and communicate ideas and information with peers
