What You’ll Do

Are you someone who thrives on bringing structure, clarity, and momentum to complex, fast\-moving work? As a Talent Business Operations Coordinator, you’ll play a central role in supporting the Talent Business Operations function and the broader Talent team by ensuring day\-to\-day operations run seamlessly and key initiatives move forward with precision and purpose.

This position blends project coordination, operational support, and continuous improvement, giving you the opportunity to not only execute work, but actively enhance how it gets done. You’ll partner across teams, support leadership, and help build scalable processes that elevate the impact of the Talent function.

What You’ll Do

  • Project \& Onboarding Coordination: Organize and track Talent initiatives while coordinating onboarding logistics, including documentation, systems access, communications, and hiring manager support
  • Operational Infrastructure Management: Maintain shared folders, workspaces, and distribution lists; manage access and partner with IT on setup, reporting, and issue resolution
  • Cross\-Functional \& Office Coordination: Facilitate communication across stakeholders, track action items, escalate as needed, and support office logistics such as onboarding and moves
  • Administrative \& Executive Support :Provide day\-to\-day support to the Talent Business Operations team and Chief Talent Officer, including scheduling, meeting coordination, materials, and follow\-ups
  • Content Development \& Communications: Create and refine presentations, documents, and reports while supporting internal communications and department\-wide updates
  • Process Improvement \& Implementation: Identify automation opportunities, explore new tools (including AI), and support implementation of new systems and processes through documentation and training

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • 2–4 years in operations, coordination, administrative, or Human Resources (HR)\-related roles
  • Exceptional ability to manage information, track details, and deliver accurate, high\-quality work
  • Strong written and verbal communication with a service\-oriented, collaborative approach
  • Highly organized, proactive, and resourceful, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Demonstrated sound judgment and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
  • Eagerness to explore new tools, systems, and ways of working
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)

Compensation

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position in Chicago. This range may differ based on your geographic location and cost of living considerations. At Kirkland \& Ellis, we consider compensation more than just a base salary. Compensation Range

Chicago: $67,000 \- $83,000
