The impact you’ll make

Join Lam as a Business Operations Analyst, where you'll spearhead process improvement initiatives. With your systems knowledge and business process acumen, you expertly collect and analyze data, evaluate processes, develop metrics, and identify root causes with data\-driven indicators for future improvements. Organizing cross\-functional project teams, you communicate team progress and survey best practices, showcasing your commitment to operational excellence at Lam.

What you’ll do

• Own and drive operational performance for Semi Mechatronics Products by defining, measuring, and publishing core KPIs that ensure demand is met on time while optimizing efficiency, capacity, and output.
• Lead cross‑functional operational execution, acting on behalf of the General Manager to align engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and finance teams around priorities and corrective actions.
• Identify performance gaps through structured gap analysis across systems, processes, and workflows, and translate findings into clear, actionable improvement plans.
• Assess operational risks and forecast outcomes, proactively identifying constraints, tradeoffs, and mitigation strategies to protect cost, quality, delivery, and growth objectives.
• Deliver data‑driven, prescriptive recommendations to leadership, enabling timely decisions and driving accountability for execution.
• Standardize and improve operational processes, identifying non‑standard work instructions, process breakdowns, and best‑practice gaps across local and global operations.
• Drive and sustain process change by coordinating cross‑functional teams, tracking progress, and ensuring adoption of agreed‑upon solutions.
• Ensure compliance with analytics, reporting, and data governance standards, maintaining consistency, accuracy, and credibility of operational insights.

Who we’re looking for

• Minimum of 15 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 12 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 8 years experience; or equivalent experience.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on\-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On\-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On\-site Flex’ you’ll work 3\+ days per week on\-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1\-2 days per week on\-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.*

Salary

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $137,000\.00 \- $287,000\.00\.

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
