Job Purpose

The Marketing Operations \& Internal Communications Manager is responsible for managing marketing operations and overseeing the execution of internal communications in close collaboration with the Chief Marketing Officer. This role ensures clarity, alignment, and disciplined execution across the organization.

This position also provides operational leadership for marketing workflows, systems, and internal communications programs, while managing resources, vendors, and contributors responsible for execution.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow all company processes and procedures in accordance with the LSC Quality Management system to ensure that a quality product is maintained and delivered within the predetermined time and cost
  • Attending required internal company meetings such as safety, departmental, scheduled daily and weekly meetings.
  • All employees are required to actively participate in the LSC Safety Program.
  • Be the forerunner in assuring customer satisfaction by meeting customer’s expectations while containing scope and cost creep.

Marketing Operations Management

  • Manage marketing operations, including work intake, prioritization, execution tracking, and operational follow\-through.
  • Serve as the primary operational entry point for internal customers requesting marketing support.
  • Translate requests into clearly defined work and determine appropriate execution paths, including delegation to internal contributors, shared resources, and contractors.
  • Oversee execution by coordinating assignments, setting expectations, monitoring progress, and ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Maintain visibility across all marketing initiatives and operational priorities.
  • Manage role\-specific projects, initiatives, and programs with accountability for successful outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Marketing Officer and Marketing leadership on operational priorities, resource allocation, and execution planning.

Work Management Systems (Asana)

  • Own and manage Asana as the system of record for all marketing projects, initiatives, and tasks.
  • Define and enforce work management standards for intake, tracking, and reporting.
  • Assign and monitor work across internal contributors, shared resources, and contractors.
  • Ensure marketing work is properly documented and managed through approved systems rather than informal channels.
  • Provide operational reporting and visibility into marketing workload, project progress, and execution performance.

Internal Communications Management

  • Manage the execution and operational delivery of internal communications aligned with direction from the Chief Marketing Officer.
  • Oversee tone, cadence, structure, and clarity of company\-wide internal messaging.
  • Partner with executive leadership to ensure internal communications effectively support organizational alignment.
  • Ensure communications reinforce Lone Star’s mission, values, strategic priorities, and Employee Ownership culture.

Employee Ownership (ESOP) \& Employee Advisory Council

  • Support ESOP communications that reinforce an ownership mindset.
  • Translate ESOP concepts into accessible and meaningful messaging for employees.
  • Serve as communications liaison supporting the Employee Advisory Council.

Scaling Up (Rockefeller Habits) Communications

  • Partner with the Strategic Planning Committee and Chief Marketing Officer to support communication of the Visionary Summary, Annual Initiatives, and Rocks.
  • Ensure strategic priorities are clearly communicated and operationally visible across the organization.
  • Reinforce priorities through StarCast, StarTimes, Teams, and other communication channels.

StarCast (Town Hall) Program Management

  • Manage StarCast as a flagship internal communications program.
  • Coordinate agenda development, speaker preparation, logistics, execution, and follow\-up activities.
  • Oversee contributors and resources responsible for event production and communication support.
  • Ensure the program effectively reinforces leadership messaging and company priorities.

StarTimes (Internal Newsletter)

  • Manage the development and production of StarTimes as a primary internal communications vehicle.
  • Serve as editor\-in\-chief and oversee contributions from internal teams.
  • Ensure alignment with leadership messaging and strategic priorities.

Corporate Teams \& Broadcast Systems

  • Manage the organization’s primary corporate\-wide Microsoft Teams communication channels.
  • Establish communication standards, posting cadence, and message hierarchy.
  • Oversee content delivery for company\-wide broadcast boards and internal communication systems.

Publishing Workflow \& Asset Release

  • Manage publishing and release workflows for internal and approved external\-facing assets.
  • Coordinate reviews, approvals, timing, and release sequencing across stakeholders.
  • Ensure consistency and operational discipline in content publishing processes.

Librarianship \& Knowledge Management

  • Oversee stewardship of marketing departmental assets.
  • Establish standards for organization, version control, and asset retrieval.
  • Ensure appropriate maintenance of marketing resources and archives.

External Web Infrastructure Oversight

  • Provide marketing\-side oversight of WordPress infrastructure for Lone Star, Alairo, and ProMobix.
  • Coordinate with LSC IT regarding access, security, hosting, and integrations.
  • Manage updates through internal contributors and external contractors.

Team Leadership \& Resource Management

  • Manage the coordination of shared internal resources, vendors, and contractors supporting marketing initiatives.
  • Delegate responsibilities appropriately while maintaining accountability for results.
  • Support scalability through effective systems, processes, and resource management.
  • Provide operational leadership that enables efficient marketing execution and clear internal communications.

Qualifications

Required

  • Proven experience in marketing operations, internal communications, or related roles.
  • Experience managing marketing workflows and systems such as Asana or similar platforms.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Microsoft Copilot.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting internal communications in an employee\-owned organization.
  • Familiarity with Scaling Up (Rockefeller Habits) concepts.
  • Experience coordinating WordPress environments in partnership with IT teams.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
