Moss \& Stone Gardens is a fast\-growing company in the moss, landscaping, interiors, and specialty plant space. As we grow, we are building the financial, legal, and operational systems needed to support a more structured and scalable business.
We are still in an early stage, which means many of our systems are actively being developed and improved. This role is an opportunity to be part of that process and grow alongside the company.
Role Overview
We are hiring a Business Operations Coordinator to support the development and organization of our financial, compliance, and operational systems.
This is a cross\-functional support role ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail\-oriented, and excited to learn how a growing business operates across finance, systems, and operations.
You will work closely with leadership to help maintain organized records, support financial processes, and improve internal workflows. Over time, there is strong potential for this role to grow into greater responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
Finance \& Accounting Support
- Assist with implementing and maintaining records in Xero
- Upload and organize receipts, invoices, and financial documents
- Support bookkeeping and reconciliation processes
- Help prepare information for external accountants and advisors
Legal \& Compliance Support
- Organize company documents related to contracts, compliance, and operations
- Track deadlines and requirements (e.g., filings, licenses, documentation)
- Assist with maintaining import\-related documentation and coordination
Reporting \& Financial Organization
- Help compile data for internal financial reporting
- Support tracking of expenses, revenue, and basic financial metrics
- Maintain organized financial and operational records
- (This role supports reporting but does not independently manage financial decisions or filings.)*
Systems \& Process Improvement
- Help implement tools and systems for finance, CRM, and operations
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows and organization
- Assist with basic automation and process documentation
Operations \& Administrative Support
- Support internal coordination across orders, systems, and documentation
- Assist with administrative tasks that support business operations

- Ability to work independently and follow through on tasks
- Interest in supporting finance, systems, and operations in a growing company
Preferred (Not Required)
- Background or coursework in finance, accounting, business, or related field
- Familiarity with Xero or similar tools
- Exposure to bookkeeping, payroll, or administrative processes
- Experience in a startup or small business environment
Preferred Degrees
- Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
- Candidates from analytical or systems\-oriented disciplines (e.g., Economics, Data Analytics, Information Systems) are also encouraged to apply.
Bonus Qualification
Mandarin Chinese language skills highly valued for supporting international sourcing, supplier relationships, and logistics coordination.
Compensation
- $15\-$20/hour, based on experience

Pay: $15\.00 \- $20\.00 per hour
