Why does the job exist?
Creation and oversight of MVD Office Building Leases, Capital Improvement projects, and Asset Management, throughout the state of NM.
How does it get done?
This position will
- Write, review, issue and maintain Requests For Information (RFIs), Request For Proposals (RFPs) and Contracts for MVD Office buildings leases.
- Develop, implement and maintain building floor plans for the efficient operations of MVD field offices.
- Be MVDs Liaison to landlords, contractors, vendors, developers, budget bureau, Facilities Management Division, and other State Agencies as determined by Financial Manager.
- Be responsible for developing procedures for MVD asset management. Will coordinate with Office Managers on inventory record keeping and perform annual disposals of inventory following procedures.

Minimum Qualification
Associate Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or Accounting and one (1\) year of directly related job experience in the areas of office administration, budgeting, purchasing, finance, accounting, auditing, cash management, contract management, and/or in the procedures of business and management principles involved in strategic planning. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling three (3\) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification within six (6\) months of date of hire as a condition of continued employment. Must be current with all tax reporting/payment. Employment is subject to post offer pre\-employment criminal background check to include fingerprint checks and is conditional pending results.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required.
