You’d be joining a team of over 200 passionate, ambitious people \- across the UK, Europe and US \- building a category\-leading FinTech product with the mission to improve the lives of millions.

The Role

Stream's US operations lead. A hands\-on, process\-building role responsible for defining and overseeing Fraud, Overpayments, Forbearance, and Financial Crime processes for our US products. You'll support the operational preparation for our US Credit launch, work with the US compliance team on regulatory requirements (e.g. OFAC/PEP, complaints), and help manage day\-to\-day relationships with our payment and banking partners.

You'll act as the critical link between US product teams and the wider Operations function (FinCrime, Risk Operations, Collections), ensuring work is funnelled to the right teams and the US operation is set up for scale.

What will you be doing?

Fraud, Financial Crime \& Risk Operations

  • Define, build, and provide oversight of US processes for Fraud, Overpayments review, Forbearance, and Financial Crime.
  • Triage and funnel work to the appropriate FinCrime and Risk Operations teams, ensuring cases are routed correctly and handled promptly.
  • Track and analyse unrecovered streams \- understanding losses, identifying trends, and working with product and engineering teams to reduce them.
  • Ensure Client Due Diligence and AML checks are built into client launch processes and handled effectively by the Risk Operations team.
  • Develop and maintain clear operating procedures and escalation paths.
  • Monitor and report on volumes, trends, and outcomes, using data to drive improvement.

Compliance \& Regulatory Operations

  • Work with the US compliance team to operationalise requirements around OFAC screening, PEP checks, complaints handling, and other regulatory obligations.
  • Ensure processes meet US federal and state requirements and adapt as the landscape evolves.

Payment \& Banking Partners

  • Support operational processes and day\-to\-day relationships with US payment and banking partners where needed.
  • Monitor partner performance and escalate issues.

US Credit Launch

  • Support operational readiness for the US Credit product launch \- processes, systems, and teams.

What experience might you have? (But if you’re close… we'd still love to talk to you!)

  • Experience in operations, risk operations, or compliance within a regulated FinTech, financial services, or lending environment.
  • Hands\-on experience building operational processes \- particularly around fraud, financial crime, overpayments, collections, or forbearance.
  • Working knowledge of US consumer financial regulation (OFAC, PEP, AML/KYC, complaints).
  • Experience managing relationships with third\-party vendors.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort with data.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management across time zones.
  • Proactive, hands\-on, comfortable building from scratch.

Desirable

  • EWA, consumer lending, or credit operations experience.
  • New product launch experience from an ops perspective.
  • Familiarity with US state\-level lending/wage access regulations, CFPB guidance, UDAAP.

Working Policy: We operate a hybrid model, with 3 days in Arlington, Virginia with occasional travel (UK / US) for team meetings, partner visits, or client launches.

Salary: From $120,000 to $130,000 \+ Equity \& Benefits
