Job Summary

The Director, Technology Enablement is responsible for leading the Technology Enablement team responsible for the streamlined integration of technology into customer\-facing activities, including RFIs (Requests for Information), RFPs (Requests for Proposals), BDMs (Bid Defense Meetings), customer meetings, etc. This role is pivotal in clearly representing the strategic value that Syneos Health’s technology solutions provide in addressing our customers’ greatest needs. The Director, Technology Enablement, will manage a team of specialists focused on providing this support across the company, to ensure that the organization is able to leverages technology as a differentiator across all business lines and improve the company’s overall business outcomes.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead the integration of technology into business development processes, ensuring that RFIs, RFPs, BDMs, and customer meetings are enhanced with the latest technological tools and strategies.
  • Oversee the development of internal technology briefs and ensure that all business development activities are aligned with the company’s technology capabilities, including the management of an enterprise\-wide technology\-focused content repository.
  • Manage and mentor a team of Technology Enablement Specialists, guiding them in their specific areas of focus (e.g., RFIs, RFPs, BDMs) to improve engagement outcomes. Responsibilities include line management, performance management, and professional development for those employees along with interviewing and onboarding new team members.
  • Collaborate with business development, product leads, and customer facing teams to identify and implement enablement processes that streamline and accelerate business development objectives.
  • Develop and maintain best practices for engagement of the Technology Solutions organization during the deal\-flow process, ensuring consistent and standardized engagement approaches across the organization.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to identify opportunities for technology\-driven improvements in the enablement process and identify opportunities to align initiatives with broader business goals.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance the company’s approach to technology enablement in business development.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of technology integration in business development activities, making data\-driven recommendations for improvements.
  • Develop and execute strategies to support enterprise proposals with technology solutions.
  • Oversee the creation of high\-impact client\-facing materials.
  • Align technology messaging with overall business goals.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure consistency and effectiveness of technology communication.
  • Lead the preparation of materials for RFIs, RFPs, and BDMs.
  • Continuously improve technology narratives based on industry trends.

Additional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, or a related field (master’s degree preferred)
  • Extensive experience in technology enablement, business development, or a related field, with a focus on integrating technology into the business development processes.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and develop a high\-performing team.
  • Strong understanding of the RFI, RFP, and BDM processes within the Life Sciences industry.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work cross\-functionally and influence key stakeholders.
  • Proficient in the use of technology tools and platforms that support business development and content management activities.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data\-driven decisions to improve sales outcomes.
  • Extensive experience in technology strategy and business development.
  • Proven track record of creating effective client\-facing materials.
  • Strong strategic and leadership skills.
  • Ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Analytical capabilities and ability to synthesize complex information into simplified, user\-friendly, persuasive formats and presentations.
  • Capability to manage large and/or multiple projects and juggling priorities so deadlines are met while retaining consistently high\-quality outcomes.
  • Experience in developing and cultivating meaningful relationships with managers and executives across pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.
  • Strong command over MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience across key SaaS solutions in Pharma and analytics space (e.g., Veeva, Salesforce, Oracle, Microsoft, etc.)

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $X to $Y. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
