The Harborview Medical Center – Social Work Department has an outstanding opportunity for a Finance and Business Operations Manager to join the Harborview Abuse and Trauma Center (HATC) .
WORK SCHEDULE
- Full\-Time / 40 hours per week

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
- Under the oversight of the Director of HATC, and as a member of the HATC leadership team, the Health Program Business Operations Manager organizes and independently coordinates business operations, revenue cycle operations, and manages grants (pre\- and\- post\-award), contracts, and budgets in accordance with HMC fiscal standards and regulatory standards of municipal, county, state, and federal funders.
- This position is responsible for HATC accounting and budget finance, in compliance with HMC standards, and is manager of HATC’s Fiscal Analyst.
- The Finance and Business Operations Manager oversees HATC’s daily clinic operations, managing the front desk PSS team, and ensuring optimization of clinic support services workflow.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide oversight and approval of grant writing, contract reporting, accounting and budget planning. Ensure final products are accurate, complete and submitted on time.
- Identify, develop, manage, and coordinate all aspects of grant funding (including federal, state and local) for all HATC programs.
- Create revenue development plans in tandem with the Director, including Identifing new funding streams and grants for HATC to ensure ongoing, stable, and sustainable funding.
- Work with HATC Assistant Director and Senior Computer Specialist to develop and maintain an effective and efficient data system that captures grant and quality\-required data producing timely, custom reporting.
- Oversee payroll, purchasing, travel, budget, equipment inventory, gift processing, revenue centers, accounting functions relative to all budgets (state, self\-sustaining, gifts, endowments, grant/contracts, hospital support, clinical practice plans, etc.).
- Manage the Budget/Fiscal Analyst and Front Desk PSS staff and serve as a resource to clinic staff for their assigned duties.
- Coordinate day\-to\-day business operations of the clinic. Monitor staff assignments and make adjustments as needed to ensure critical needs are met in the clinic.
- Manage the front desk PSS Staff in their performance of appointment making, call management, daily schedule management, service capture/coding review, insurance verification and pre\-authorization, charge capture, clerical support for clinical teams, medical records and release of information, patient check\-in and ensuring office supply levels meet clinic needs.
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, Masters preferred
- At least two years’ experience in a management or supervisory role
- At least two year’s experience in procuring, managing and reporting on grants and contracts.
- Demonstrated ability to structure and edit grant applications.
- Fluency in Epic clinic, financial and reporting modules
- Demonstrated ability to become highly functional with institutional departments and software systems related to developing and maintaining contract and fiscal tracking systems.
