About This Role

Bellwether Farms is quickly growing and seeking a detail\-oriented and proactive Sales Operations Analyst to join our sales team. This role provides support to the Sales team by managing data, reporting, forecasting, and sales processes that help turn demand into executable, profitable orders. This is an on\-site position located in Petaluma, CA. Consistent, in\-person attendance is required to perform the essential functions of this role.

This role will work closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations to ensure accuracy, alignment, and smooth execution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Sales Support

  • Provide day\-to\-day operational support to the VP of Sales and Sales Team
  • Partner with Bellwether Farms deduction service provider to review deduction data, validate deductions against trade programs, and identify discrepancies
  • Assist with pricing updates, item setup, promotions, and sales\-related documentation
  • Support onboarding of new sales team members and maintain sales tools and resources
  • Assist with new customer onboarding, required documentation, promotional contracts, and compliance tracking

Reporting, Forecasting \& Analysis

  • Prepare and maintain sales reports by customer, channel, SKU, and region
  • Compile and analyze data from multiple sources, including distributor portals, retailer POS systems, and internal systems
  • Support sales forecasting by analyzing historical sales, inventory levels, and promotional activity
  • Monitor performance against sales targets, promotions, and customer programs
  • Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities to support improved execution and decision\-making

Data \& Systems Management

  • Maintain accuracy of sales\-related data across systems (e.g., CRM, ERP, inventory management tools)
  • Ensure customer, item, pricing, and contract information is current and aligned across systems
  • Support distributor portals and customer data requirements to ensure accurate reporting and compliance

Cross\-Functional Coordination

  • Partner with Supply Chain and Operations to support demand planning and inventory alignment
  • Coordinate with Finance regarding pricing, margins, deductions, credits, and reporting needs
  • Support new item launches and promotional execution across departments

Customer \& Distributor Support

  • Assist with distributor item setup, pricing updates, and ongoing account support
  • Support resolution of order discrepancies, shortages, and data\-related issues in collaboration with internal teams
  • Assist with customer documentation and compliance\-related requests

Other Duties

  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism in all matters.
  • Perform other duties or tasks as assigned by the VP of Sales.

Qualifications/ Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, Agriculture, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience in sales operations, category data analysis tools, trade marketing, or a related role; CPG or food manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and present insights clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
  • Highly organized, detail\-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Strong problem\-solving skills and ability to identify process improvements.
  • Familiarity with syndicated data sources (SPINS, Nielsen, Circana) and distributor portals (MyUNFI, KEHE Connect) strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, CRM platforms, or inventory management systems (e.g., Fishbowl) is a plus.
  • Self\-starter with a proactive approach to tasks and problem\-solving.

  • Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills to interpret sales data, identify trends, and support decision\-making.
  • High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in reporting, order coordination, and data entry.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and make decisions aligned with company policies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with sales, finance, operations, and cross\-functional teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive business information appropriately.

Work Environment

  • The work is primarily performed in a climate\-controlled office setting, with standard lighting and ventilation.
  • The role may require occasional visits to warehouse or production areas, which may involve exposure to cold or warm temperatures, moderate noise levels, and concrete flooring.
  • The noise level in the office environment is generally low to moderate, though warehouse visits may expose the employee to louder machinery or equipment sounds.
  • The role requires interactions with cross\-functional teams, including Sales, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain, both virtually and in person.
  • Typical work hours are standard business hours, with some flexibility required during peak production, sales cycles, or trade events.
  • Employees should be able to safely navigate both office and creamery/production environments, following all safety and food handling protocols.
  • The position may involve occasional travel for tradeshows, customer visits, or meetings.

Compensation and Benefits

Bellwether Farms is committed to pay equity and transparency in alignment with California law. The anticipated hourly range for this position is $36\.00\- $43\.00. This range is provided as a general guideline. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, education, skills, internal equity, and market conditions.
