About This Role

We’re looking for a hands\-on Lifecycle Automation / Marketing Ops Consultant to build and optimize the automation systems behind our customer communications. This role is for someone who has personally designed and deployed lifecycle programs using behavioral data, segmentation, and event\-driven triggers.

This is not a general marketing or campaign management role. We’re looking for someone who has built lifecycle systems from the ground up and can connect product behavior, messaging logic, and technical implementation into a scalable framework.

What you’ll do

  • Build event\-driven lifecycle flows across onboarding, activation, retention, conversion, and win\-back.
  • Define segmentation logic based on behavioral and profile data.
  • Map user journeys and identify key trigger moments.
  • Partner with product and engineering on events, tracking, and data flows.
  • Improve automation performance across engagement, conversion, and retention.

What we’re looking for

  • Hands\-on experience with Customer.io, Klaviyo, Braze, Iterable, or similar platforms.
  • Proven experience building event\-triggered flows and behavioral journeys.
  • Strong understanding of segmentation, lifecycle logic, and triggered messaging.
  • Experience working with product and engineering teams on event schemas, APIs, and data flows.
  • Ability to explain what you built, how it was implemented, and the results.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Twilio and SendGrid or similar.
  • Experience with PostHog or Mixpanel.
  • SaaS, subscription, marketplace, or freemium model experience.
  • Multi\-channel lifecycle programs across email, SMS, push, and in\-app messaging.

If your background is primarily campaign execution, newsletter marketing, or broad marketing management without lifecycle implementation experience, this role is likely not the right fit.

Pay: $100\.00 \- $300\.00 per hour
