Position Summary The Marketing Operations Manager acts as the operational backbone of the CalCPA Marketing team. This role is responsible for executing and coordinating high\-volume marketing activities, including email campaign production, marketing automation support, social media posting, website and landing page publishing, paid media trafficking support, and marketing reporting . This position ensures campaigns move efficiently from strategy to execution while maintaining high standards for quality assurance, accuracy and performance tracking. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects. This role plays a critical part in maintaining operational consistency across CalCPA’s marketing programs, including conferences, continuing education courses, membership promotions and digital marketing initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Build and deploy marketing email campaigns using established templates, automation tools and segmentation lists.
- Perform quality assurance checks prior to campaign deployment, including sending proofs, link testing, segmentation validation, rendering checks and scheduling confirmation.
- Support social media execution by scheduling posts, updating campaign messaging and maintaining publishing calendars.
- Assist with marketing automation workflows and campaign journeys to support conferences, continuing education programs, membership initiatives and other marketing campaigns.
- Publish and update marketing content on the CalCPA website and related landing pages, ensuring proper formatting, calls\-to\-action and link integrity.
- Support basic Search Engine Optimization (SEO) practices when publishing content, including headings, alt text, internal links and page structure.
- Assist with paid media campaign execution by uploading creative assets, validating links and UTMs and monitoring campaign pacing.
- Draft and repurpose marketing content using templates and AI\-assisted workflows, including webinar recaps, conference highlights and promotional copy.
- Maintain campaign calendars, marketing project trackers and operational documentation in Monday.com (work management platform).
- Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate campaign timing and messaging.
- Identify opportunities to streamline marketing processes, templates and workflows to improve efficiency and campaign execution.
- Support marketing promotions, including setup and maintenance of promotional codes and campaign tracking parameters.
- Assist with maintaining marketing data quality, including list hygiene, segmentation updates and CRM data validation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- 3–6 years of experience in marketing operations, email marketing, digital marketing or a related marketing execution role.
- Hands\-on experience building and deploying email campaigns using marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot, Pardot, Marketo, Mailchimp or similar tools.
- Proficiency working within content management systems (CMS) to publish and update website content and landing pages.
- Working knowledge of digital marketing channels, including email marketing, social media, paid media and website content.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or similar systems.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic, evolving environment.
- Experience supporting marketing performance reporting and interpreting campaign metrics.
- Experience in associations, membership organizations, education, or professional services environments preferred.

- Email campaigns are built and deployed accurately and on schedule.
- Website updates and landing pages are published quickly and correctly.
- Organic social posts are scheduled consistently in alignment with campaign priorities.
- Paid digital campaigns are trafficked with correct links, UTMs and campaign settings.
- Campaign calendars and marketing workflows remain organized and current.
