Role Overview
The Director, Solution Engineering Enablement is a senior leadership role responsible for leading and evolving the organizations pre\-sales solution engineering capability in support of revenue growth, deal differentiation, and customer confidence. This role has accountability for Strategic Solution Engineers, Solution Engineers, and Solution Support Engineers, ensuring consistent excellence in demonstrations, solution narratives, RFP responses, and overall solution readiness. Reporting directly to the SVP of Platform Enablement (Sales), this highly visible role partners closely with Sales leadership and cross\-functional stakeholders to drive success on complex, high\-value pursuits while building a scalable, high\-performing solution engineering organization.
Experience working with ERP solutions and proposals within SLED (State, Local, and Education), DOT, or K12 markets is highly desirable.

Work Model: Hybrid (23 days per week onsite at a designated CGI office)
Your future duties and responsibilities
Leadership and Strategy
Define and execute the vision, operating model, and standards for Solution Engineering Enablement
Align solution engineering priorities with sales strategy and platform enablement objectives
Serve as a trusted advisor to Sales and executive leadership on solution strategy, deal risk, and differentiation
Provide oversight and guidance on the organizations most complex and strategically significant pursuits
Team Leadership and Talent Development
Lead, coach, and develop Strategic Solution Engineers, Solution Engineers, and Solution Support Engineers
Establish clear role expectations, success metrics, and career progression frameworks
Identify and develop high potential talent for continued team growth
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
Pre Sales Excellence
Own standards for demonstration quality, solution storytelling, and RFP responses
Ensure consistent, compelling, and differentiated customer facing solution delivery
Oversee demo readiness, environment quality, and data integrity
Ensure effective identification, documentation, and escalation of demo impacting software defects
Sales and Customer Engagement
Partner closely with Sales leadership to influence deal strategy and positioning
Engage directly with executive level customer stakeholders and Client Facing Business Units as needed
Ensure solutions clearly articulate business value, differentiation, and outcomes
Balance resource allocation based on deal complexity, revenue impact, and strategic priority
Cross Functional Collaboration
Partner with Product, Engineering, Consulting, and Platform teams
Translate customer and market feedback into actionable insights
Influence roadmap, enablement, and messaging priorities based on pre sales experience
Ensure alignment between platform capabilities and solution messaging
Operational Effectiveness
Establish scalable processes and governance to support growth
Track and report on key performance metrics, including win rates, solution readiness, and quality
Identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities across the solution engineering function
Ensure efficient use of tools, environments, and resources
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
10 or more years of experience in solution engineering, pre sales, consulting, or a related customer facing technical role
Proven people leadership experience managing senior, highly skilled teams
Deep understanding of pre sales solution engineering best practices
Strong executive communication and presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to influence sales strategy and customer outcomes
Experience operating in complex, fast paced, high stakes environments
Experience with enterprise ERP platforms (CGI Advantage ERP strongly preferred)
Background supporting large, complex, or public sector sales pursuits
Experience partnering closely with Sales leadership and executive stakeholders
Demonstrated success building or scaling solution engineering organizations

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit\-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $129,100\.00 \- $276,200\.00\.
