Don Carvajal Café is a Dominican\-owned specialty coffee company bringing high\-quality coffee from El Campo to your cup. We operate a café in Irvington, NY and are expanding more into roasting, wholesale, and e\-commerce.

We’re growing fast and looking for someone who wants to grow with us.

Overview

We’re looking for a highly organized, hands\-on Business Operations Manager to work directly with the owner and help run the day\-to\-day business while supporting growth projects.

This is not a sit\-back\-and\-manage role. You’ll be involved in everything from inventory and staff support to launching new products, organizing systems, and helping execute bigger projects like our roasting operations.

Key Responsibilities

Operations \& Organization

• Run weekly inventory and track product levels
• Track and report weekly COGS and labor percentages
• Keep storage and basement areas clean and organized
• Build and improve systems to keep the business running smoothly

Project Execution

• Help manage and execute key projects (ex: roasting room setup)
• Coordinate timelines, vendors, and follow\-ups
• Ensure projects move forward and stay organized

Team Support \& Training

• Assist with staff training and onboarding
• Help maintain standards, accountability, and team communication
• Act as point of contact on certain days when the owner is not present

Product \& Brand Execution

• Coordinate monthly merch drops
• Support coffee releases, workshops, and in\-store events
• Assist with content and brand initiatives when needed

Maintenance \& Equipment

• Manage routine maintenance schedules
• Handle filter changes, upkeep, and service coordination
• Ensure all equipment is operating properly

Who You Are

• Extremely organized and detail\-oriented
• Proactive and takes initiative without being told
• Comfortable balancing multiple tasks and projects
• Strong communicator and team player
• Interested in coffee, hospitality, or growing a business

Bonus if you have

• Experience in coffee, restaurants, or retail
• Experience with inventory, COGS, or operations tracking
• Experience training or managing a team

Schedule

• 4–5 days per week
• Some weekend and on\-call availability required

Compensation

• $20–$25/hour depending on experience
• Opportunity for growth into a senior operations or management role as the company expands
