Event and Marketing Operations Coordinator
Foothill Transit, the primary fixed\-route transit provider in eastern Los Angeles County, California. Our mission statement is to help people get to the places that make their lives better. We are an award\-winning bus system with a fleet of over 350 vehicles and ridership exceeding 9 million annually.
This position reports to the Director of Marketing \& Communications and supports the objectives of the Marketing and Communications Department and the public outreach plans of Foothill Transit. The incumbent in this position will handle routine department administration; coordinate on and off\-site event logistics; assist with community sponsorship and membership reporting; and assist marketing and communications team
members as needed.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following
- Coordinate timely mailing of monthly Footnotes and other department/agency mailings
- Coordinate the printing, distribution and scheduling of interior cards, rider alerts, take\-ones and other advertising and marketing materials
- Process and maintain all department purchase orders
- Coordinate and staff internal and external special events
- Coordinate special projects as assigned
- Work with vendors to obtain quotes and order promotional items
- Oversee the maintenance of marketing files, including the online photo archive
- Act as point person for team schedules and appointments
- Assist with the tracking and reporting of community sponsorships, chamber memberships, and agency team participation in regional leadership roles
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Skills Required
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with a strong desire to encourage
collaboration and respect
- Must be fluent in Microsoft Outlook and familiar with Smartsheet project coordination tools
- Ability to work under pressure, to be flexible, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Must be a critical thinker, with good organization and accuracy, with the ability to respectfully deliver a point\-of\-view
- Must be able to effectively present work and ask for and receive feedback from team members
- An interest in public transportation and urban planning desired but not required
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or 5 years' work experience in marketing, communications, and/or event planning
- Must have event coordination experience
- Must have administrative experience, an eye for detail, and be self\-motivated
- Must be willing to grow and expand your skillset
Must be a U.S. citizen or a legal resident and eligible to work in the U.S. as determined by U.S. Immigration
Laws and the Department of Homeland Security.

Salary Range: Pay Grade 4 \| $52,402 – $86,911
\*Foothill Transit reserves the right to make a salary offer at any value within the range; however, most offers will be in the first 50% of the overall range.
