About This Role
Sales Operations Manager, Contracts Management & Deal Desk - Revenue Operations
Remote, US (Eastern time zone preferred) | Full-time | Excellent benefits | up to $130kish (flexibility to go higher depending on experience + equity / bonuses and much more | work closely with executive leadership team
The company
My client is a profitable, fast-growing SaaS company in the labor compliance space. Its software helps renewable energy developers and owners, EPCs, and construction contractors meet prevailing wage and apprenticeship (PWA) requirements tied to Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) tax credits, as well as Davis-Bacon Act requirements. The company is growing and building out its revenue operations.
The opportunity
When you sell to large energy and infrastructure companies, a lot happens after a prospect says yes: security reviews, vendor onboarding, negotiated contract terms, and pricing approvals. This role takes ownership of all of it, so the sales team can keep selling and deals don’t stall waiting on paperwork. You’ll work closely with sales, the compliance team, outside legal counsel, and accounting, and you’ll be the person who always knows where every deal stands.
What this role is
- The owner of the close process, from verbal commitment to fully signed contract
- The builder of reusable resources: questionnaire answers, proposal content, and pricing guides
- The HubSpot owner and the source of pipeline reporting people can trust
- The point of coordination between sales, compliance, outside counsel, and accounting
What this role is not
- Not a sales role with a quota. You’ll support the sellers, not carry a number.
- Not a legal role. You’ll run the redline process and know when to bring in outside counsel, who makes the legal calls.
- Not a compliance analyst job. You won’t review certified payroll. You’ll work with the compliance team to answer what prospects ask.
- Not an accounting job. You’ll set up each new deal for billing, and accounting handles invoicing and the books.
- Not an executive assistant role. Scheduling and follow-up are part of the job, but most of your time goes to contracts, pricing, proposals, and systems.
Key responsibilities
- Security and vendor reviews. Take in every security, procurement, and vendor onboarding questionnaire. Answer what you can from a growing answer library, and bring in technical or compliance experts only when you need them.
- Proposals and RFPs. Turn scope, pricing, and compliance content into polished proposals, keep a library of strong past material, and track every submission deadline.
- Quotes and pricing. Build quotes, order forms, and renewals. Follow the discount approval process, catch unusual terms early, and keep pricing materials current.
- Contracts. Manage MSAs, NDAs, DPAs, order forms, and vendor agreements through signature. Track redlines, coordinate review with outside counsel and internal teams, keep signed agreements organized, and stay ahead of renewal and expiration dates.
- Billing handoff. For each new customer, give accounting the billing terms, invoice timing, payment schedule, and revenue details they need. Help answer customer billing questions and step in early on late payments.
- HubSpot. Keep deal stages, properties, workflows, and quote templates in good shape, and build the pipeline and forecast dashboards leadership uses.
- Sales support. Schedule meetings and demos, prepare materials, and make sure follow-ups don’t slip.
Who tends to do well here
Most people who succeed in this seat have about three or more years in sales operations, deal desk, contract administration, RevOps, or proposal management at a B2B software or services company. You don’t need to have done every item below to be a strong fit:
- HubSpot admin experience, or deep experience in another CRM and real interest in learning HubSpot
- Moving contracts from first draft to signature alongside legal
- Writing proposals or RFP responses that go out with little editing
- Completing security or vendor questionnaires yourself
- Good judgment about what you can decide and what to escalate
- Strong organization and follow-through
Helpful but not required
- Background in renewable energy, construction, tax credits, or compliance
- Familiarity with prevailing wage or Davis-Bacon (the company will train you)
- Experience with large enterprise or government buyers
- Experience building processes and SOPs from the ground up
Your first year
In your first few months, questionnaires and order forms run through you and HubSpot data is reliable. By the end of the year, deals close faster, most requests can be answered from libraries you’ve built, and the revenue team’s processes hold up as the company grows.
Compensation and benefits
- Target base salary of $100K–$130K, with flexibility above that for strong experience
- Cash bonus and equity
- Medical, dental, and vision, mostly company paid
- 401(k)
- Unlimited PTO
- Fully remote with occasional travel, plus team retreats and company events
- Home office stipend
Resume Tip
- It would be extremely helpful if you make sure to capture relevant experience on your resume so that there is no confusion as to why you would be a great fit.
