Position Summary
The Sales Operations Analyst will play a critical role in driving sales performance through data\-driven insights, accurate forecasting, and strategic planning. This position combines analytical expertise with strong business acumen to optimize sales strategies, improve operational efficiency, and support decision\-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts by analyzing historical data, market trends, and promotional plans. Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to align forecasts with business objectives. Monitor inventory levels and recommend adjustments to meet demand while minimizing excess stock.
- Data Analysis \& Reporting: Analyze sales performance to identify growth opportunities. Specifically work with store scan data to identify key opportunities to improve same store sales and generate new distribution. Ensure sales management and partners get monthly sales performance data with actionable recommendations.
- Track KPIs such as revenue, volume, margin, and new product sales.
- Develop processes to maximize partner efficiencies and ensure timely and accurate deliveries to network of over 100 partner distributors.
- Strategic Support: Work with sales management and distributor partners to develop presentations to address local store opportunities. Provide recommendations for product assortment and placement. Support new product launches with demand projections and performance tracking.
- New Account Development: Identify and analyze potential new accounts and channels for growth. Develop onboarding plans for new customers, ensuring smooth integration into sales systems.
- Manage administrative requirements associated with key account partners. This includes implementing any pricing changes, approval of new items and required documentation and implementing growth initiatives.
- Cross\-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing on campaign performance analysis. Partner with Operations to ensure supply chain alignment with sales plans. Communicate insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Supervisory Responsibility: Oversee and mentor the current Sales Planner role, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to ensure alignment with company objectives and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 3\+ years of experience in sales planning, demand forecasting, or business analytics (CPG or confectionery experience a plus).
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Experience with ERP systems and sales forecasting software.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast\-paced environment.

Pay: From $55,000\.00 per year
