Position Summary
The Inside Sales \& Sales Operations Specialist supports revenue growth by managing inbound and outbound sales support activities while owning key sales operations processes. This role is responsible for quote and order accuracy, Dynamics data integrity, coordination across internal teams (sales, operations, production, finance), and delivering consistent customer experience from inquiry through order acceptance.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesA. Inside Sales (Customer \& Revenue Support)
· Responding to inbound customer inquiries and route/qualify leads to the appropriate sales owner.
· Support the field sales team with help responding to RFQs, quotes, and pricing packages.
· Prepare and process quotes, revisions, and customer\-facing proposals in accordance with company policy.
· Review incoming purchase orders (POs) for completeness and alignment to quote terms (pricing, part numbers, delivery, freight, taxes, payment terms).
· Coordinate order acceptance steps: customer onboarding, credit applications, payment terms alignment, and internal approvals.
· Provide status updates to customers (order confirmation, lead times, shipment coordination) and manage some routine customer communication.
· Log activities, notes, and next steps in Dynamics to ensure visibility and continuity.
B. Sales Operations (Process, CRM, Reporting, Forecast Support)
· Own day\-to\-day Dynamics health: data accuracy, required fields, stages, close dates, probability, contacts, and account hygiene.
· Build and publish recurring dashboards and reports (pipeline, bookings, conversion rates, quote aging, win/loss, activity).
· Manage sales documentation and enablement tools (quote templates, pricing sheets, SOPs, playbooks, standard email language).
· Support pricing governance: discount approval workflows, margin checks, and documentation of exceptions.
· Coordinate with Finance on credit holds, AR issues impacting orders, and customer setup requirements.
· Coordinate with shipping to obtain freight estimates.
· Partner with Operations/Production to confirm lead times, capacity constraints, and shipment windows, ensuring customer commitments are realistic.
· Identify process gaps and implement improvements (standard work, checklists, automation, training).
C. Cross\-Functional Coordination
· Work closely with Sales, Finance, Customer Service, Engineering (if applicable), and Operations to ensure smooth order flow.
· Participate in sales meetings and provide updates on quote volume, backlog impacts, and at\-risk orders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
· 2\-5 years of experience in inside sales, sales support, sales operations, customer service, or order management.
· Strong proficiency in CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
· High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer\-first mindset.
· Working knowledge of quoting, order entry, and basic commercial terms (Incoterms helpful but not required).
· Ability to analyze data, create reports, and present insights clearly to leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial products, textiles, shelters, or other configured/BOM\-based products.
· Familiarity with government/compliance\-driven customers (RFQs, documentation requirements, contract terms).
· Experience building or improving SOPs, checklists, and processing documentation.
· Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic formulas).

· Order accuracy rate (PO matches’ quote; minimal rework).
· CRM compliance (required fields complete; stage hygiene).
· Pipeline/reporting timeliness and accuracy.
· Customer response time / SLA adherence.
· Aging quotes/opportunities reduced month\-over\-month.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
· Office/desk\-based role; extended time on computer and phone.
Occasional travel may be required for training or trade shows (if applicable)
