JOB DESCRIPTION
Marketing Operations Manager
INEX Capital \& Growth Advisors \| Manchester, NH
FLSA Classification: Exempt, full time
Reports To: Brook Milnes, Vice President, INEX Capital \& Growth Advisors
Location: Manchester, NH preferred; remote considered for the right candidate (Eastern hours, on\-site for launches and trade shows)
Travel: Occasional, for trade shows and company events
About the Organization
INEX is a privately held, family\-owned group of companies headquartered in Manchester, New Hampshire. Our operating companies serve independent insurance agencies: outsourced client service on one side, agency accounting and bookkeeping on the other. Those two businesses have just come together under common ownership and launch as a single brand this fall. The enterprise also runs M\&A advisory through INEX Capital \& Growth Advisors and a commercial real estate portfolio. The leadership team is small, moves fast, and uses AI tools every day.
Position Summary
You would be the first dedicated marketing hire for a combined business at the start of a new phase: two established brands becoming one, a rebrand under way, and open space to build. The Marketing Operations Manager is the central marketer for that ecosystem, working directly with leadership, and owns the marketing plumbing across the INEX companies: HubSpot, the websites, the lists, the campaigns, and the measurement. The role sits at the INEX level, points at the agency\-facing service businesses first, and picks up the other entities from there.
This is a hands\-on position in a closely held, entrepreneurial environment. You will be the person who builds and runs these systems yourself: the configuration, the launches, and the measurement. Brand direction and messaging approval stay with leadership, and producers make the sales calls; every campaign this role runs ends with a warm lead list in front of a named person.
By day 90, HubSpot is administered in\-house, the full list inventory exists on one page, and 2 campaigns are live with weekly numbers.
How the role is measured: a six\-month plumbing roadmap with a checkpoint at each phase, then campaign conversion at every step of the funnel, from send to reply to lead handed off to what happened next. Results are expected to start showing in a three\-to\-six\-month window. You report them to leadership monthly.
Key Responsibilities
1\. HubSpot Administration
- Own HubSpot day to day: data model, custom objects (deals, hiring signal, competitor database), list segmentation, workflows, forms, and source attribution.
- Define and document the lifecycle stage model — contact, lead, marketing qualified, sales qualified, customer — with written entry and exit criteria and a single clean source field, agreed with the producers who receive the leads before anything is built on top of it.
- Keep contact, company, and deal data clean, including the client service contract data arriving from the Zendesk migration.
- Build and maintain dashboards and routing so every inbound lead lands with a named owner.
2\. Websites \& Digital Presence
- Keep the web properties current and wired into HubSpot: the two established brand sites and the new combined\-brand site, ins\-amp.com, which is already live.
- Build landing pages and forms; maintain analytics and conversion tracking.
- Own redirect mapping and analytics continuity through any site consolidation, so search history and conversion tracking survive the change.
- Own email deliverability end to end: a dedicated sending subdomain with SPF, DKIM and DMARC authenticated, a documented warm\-up schedule and volume caps, plus shared mailboxes, branded signatures, and sequences.
- Hold the centralized credentials for every web and marketing property in a shared vault, so nothing depends on one person, and consolidate the companies' social profiles (LinkedIn, Facebook) into current, professional presences.
3\. Campaign Execution
- Build and run outbound and nurture campaigns against defined audiences: the purchased agency list, existing clients (cross\-sell between service lines), partner channel listings, and the hiring\-signal feed.
- Work the lanes in the priority order leadership has set: cross\-sell between the two service lines first, then visibility for the combined brand, then the enterprise's advisory pipeline.
- Configure, launch, measure, adjust. Walk leadership through each campaign before it goes live.
- Run the brand\-launch and trade show follow\-up sequences and write the results down.
4\. List Operations
- Run list hygiene end to end: verification, unsubscribe discipline, do\-not\-call scrubbing, and suppression.
- Honor the license terms on purchased lists and treat them as hard limits.
- Maintain a one\-page inventory of every audience: size, hygiene status, license terms, and the campaign touching it.
5\. Content Production
- Produce campaign assets from the locked brand system using AI tools and templates: emails, landing pages, and social posts.
- Adapt approved messaging accurately. Hooking things up is the bigger half of this job; content production is the smaller half.
6\. Measurement \& Reporting
- Keep the weekly numbers habit: sent, opened, replied, leads handed off, and the next change.
- Build the funnel measurement so conversion is visible at each step, including what happened to every lead after it was handed off.
- Report monthly to leadership: what ran, what it produced, and what changes next.
Required Qualifications
- 3\+ years of hands\-on marketing operations or marketing technology work, including marketing automation you set up yourself (CRM workflows, sequences, integrations). More is welcome.
- You have personally administered a CRM / marketing automation platform (HubSpot strongly preferred), built and sent email campaigns, and maintained a business website.
- Working knowledge of WordPress and enough HTML/CSS to build and fix landing pages and emails.
- AI tools as a daily work method.
- Writing ability sufficient to adapt approved messaging into emails, landing pages, and social posts without introducing errors.
- Organized enough to run 4 or more campaign lanes at once and keep the measurement honest.
Preferred Qualifications
- HubSpot certifications (Marketing Hub, Sales Hub, or Reporting).
- Experience with list verification and suppression tooling (NeverBounce or similar) and with purchased\-list license compliance.
- Google Analytics and campaign attribution experience.
- B2B services or insurance industry exposure.
- Prior work at a small company or agency where you owned the whole marketing stack.
If you don't meet every requirement but this sounds like your job, apply anyway.
Core Competencies
Doer's Bias: Hooks things up personally; ideas leave this desk as live campaigns with numbers attached.
Systems Thinking: Sees how a form, a workflow, a list, and a report connect; builds so the next campaign is easier than the last.
Data Discipline: Keeps lists clean, attribution honest, and purchased\-list license terms treated as hard limits.
Judgment with AI: Uses AI tools daily to produce more, and checks the output before anything ships.
Organization \& Follow\-Through: Runs 4\+ campaign lanes without dropping details; writes results down where leadership can find them.
Communication: Keeps leadership informed with concise, timely updates; raises problems early.
Compensation \& Benefits
Base salary range: $80,000 to $90,000, commensurate with experience.
- Competitive salary, 401K plan, employer supported health insurance, employer funded Life, AD\&D, LTD \& STD Insurance, and a wide range of voluntary insurance options
- Paid sick, vacation, personal, and holiday time
- Professional development support, including HubSpot certification coursework
How to apply
Apply through the job board where you found this posting. Include your resume and 2 or 3 things you personally built (campaigns, workflows, sites) and what happened to the numbers.
