About This Role
The Mission
We are a high\-growth scientific technology company dedicated to empowering researchers with tools that simplify and accelerate their work. We don’t just sell products. We build partnerships and innovate solutions.
As our Director of Sales \& Sales Operations, you will be the chief architect of our customer journey, responsible for evolving our sales and customer success departments into a high velocity, data driven engine. We seek a strategic leader to construct the scalable infrastructure required for our next chapter of growth.
The ideal candidate will blend rigorous operational discipline with a fierce commitment to our "customer\-first" philosophy.
The Role
As Director of Sales \& Sales Operations, you will oversee our outside scientific sales team and inside sales operations. You will ensure we are finding, delighting, and growing our customer base with maximum efficiency.
Your Mission: To eliminate operational hurdles and streamline the sales cycle, allowing our technical experts to focus on what they do best: solving scientific challenges for our customers.
The Market \& Our Impact
At MiTeGen, we design, manufacture and distribute advanced tools that power scientific discovery. Trusted by the global scientific community, our products have been cited in over 5,000 peer\-reviewed publications.
We operate at the intersection of two critical fields:
· Structural Sciences: Supporting elite academic, government and industrial researchers using X\-ray crystallography and electron microscopy to probe the architecture of biomolecules, pharmaceuticals, cells, and novel materials.
· Cryopreservation Sciences: Translating fundamental insights into new technologies for assisted reproduction and biobanking of domesticated, endangered, and biomedical research animal species.
From early stage drug discovery to advanced IVF, we build the underlying tools that make breakthroughs possible.
What You’ll Do
Your role is to build a high\-velocity growth engine that respects the rigorous standards and technical sophistication of our scientific customers.
- Engineer "Customer Delight": Map the customer journey to ensure every interaction –from the initial website search and first quote to the fifth re\-order– is frictionless, fast, and expertly handled.
- Drive Technology Adoption: Develop and execute strategies to help existing customers extract maximum value from our tools. Success isn't just closing the initial sale; it’s ensuring our technology becomes an indispensable, fully utilized part of the researcher’s workflow.
- Architect the Growth Engine: Own the CRM and sales software ecosystem. You will automate manual workflows (quoting, shipping calculations, follow\-up) so the team can minimize busy work and focus on high\-value interactions.
- Lead the Sales Team: Manage, mentor, and scale our technical sales and customer support professionals. You will equip the team to deliver deep technical value, streamline account management, and expand our market footprint.
- Champion Data\-Driven Decisions: Maintain a "Growth Dashboard" for the executive team. You will track key performance indicators and transform operational data into strategic insights that fuel growth.
Who You Are
- Analytical and Data\-Driven: You don't manage by "feel" or guesswork. You rely on CRM data to diagnose funnel leaks, identify market opportunities, and back up your strategic decisions with hard numbers.
- A Systems Builder: You are bothered by manual friction. You see a repetitive task and your first instinct is to automate it.
- A "Customer\-Centric" Thinker: You understand that in the scientific community, trust is everything. You believe that rigorous, reliable systems are the only way to deliver a consistently exceptional customer experience.
- A High\-Credibility Communicator: You possess the emotional intelligence and professional polish to interface effectively with Ph.D. scientists, speak their language, and earn their trust.
Qualifications
- 5\+ years of commercial leadership across Sales Operations, Growth Marketing, or Sales Management.
- Track record of building scalable systems and sales processes.
- Direct experience selling scientific consumables, reagents, and/or small laboratory instrumentation to the academic, government and industrial research communities.
- CRM and Tech Stack Mastery: Deep experience with process development, customization, and administration within CRM platforms (Zoho CRM) and outbound automation tools.
Why Join Us?
- Impact: You aren't just a cog in a machine; you are the one building it.
- Purpose: Our technology helps scientists solve real\-world problems. Your work directly accelerates their progress.
- Autonomy: You will report directly to the CEO and have the authority to reshape our processes.
Growth: We are at an inflection point. We are positioning the company for a 5x expansion, and this role sits at the absolute center of that strategy.
