About This Role

The Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive, hands\-on marketing operator who can turn business priorities into completed programs, qualified opportunities and measurable revenue. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this person will own demand\-generation execution, marketing lead sources, HubSpot marketing operations, full\-funnel attribution and the operational side of trade shows.

This is not a strategy\-only or task\-coordination role. The right person can take a business objective, determine what must happen, mobilize internal and external resources, solve problems and drive the work through completion without constant supervision.

What You Will Own

Lead Sources \& Demand Generation

  • Own the performance and day\-to\-day management of all marketing\-generated lead sources, including website, organic, paid, event, referral, partner, database and third\-party sources. Maintain a complete lead\-source inventory covering cost, vendor, target audience, data\-delivery method, tracking requirements, sales owner and performance. Establish consistent source definitions, naming conventions, HubSpot properties and attribution rules so every lead can be traced accurately. Evaluate current and prospective lead vendors based on quality, conversion, qualified pipeline, revenue, cost per opportunity and ROI—not lead volume alone. Develop controlled tests for new sources, with documented budgets, audiences, follow\-up plans and success criteria before launch. Work with Sales and BDRs to collect structured lead\-quality feedback, correct problems and prevent leads from being ignored or mishandled. Recommend which sources to expand, improve, renegotiate, pause or discontinue.

Integrated Campaign Execution

  • Translate the VP of Marketing’s priorities into clear campaign plans, audiences, channels, assets, budgets, owners and timelines. Run integrated B2B campaigns from planning through production, quality assurance, launch, sales follow\-up and performance reporting. Coordinate Sales, BDRs, internal contributors, agencies, designers, writers, freelancers and vendors. Ensure every campaign has a defined business objective, target audience, call to action, tracking structure, sales handoff and measurement plan. Identify risks early, remove roadblocks, enforce deadlines and provide concise progress updates without requiring daily direction. Review campaign results and turn the findings into concrete improvements for the next program.

HubSpot \& Marketing Operations

  • Own the marketing components of HubSpot, including campaigns, forms, lists, fields, workflows, automation, dashboards and integrations. Maintain clear lifecycle stages from contact through MQL, SQL, opportunity, quote, sale and revenue. Build and improve lead scoring, assignment, routing, nurturing, recycling, alerts and follow\-up workflows. Establish campaign naming, tracking URL, source, data\-quality and database\-governance standards. Monitor attribution accuracy; resolve duplicate records and missing, inconsistent or conflicting source information. Test forms, links, workflows, routing, alerts and integrations before campaigns go live. Document repeatable processes and train employees on proper system use.

Full\-Funnel Attribution \& Performance Reporting

  • Build reporting that connects each marketing source and campaign to MQLs, SQLs, opportunities, quotes, sales and revenue. Maintain original\-source reporting and appropriate campaign\-influence reporting, with clear documented definitions. Partner with Sales and CRM stakeholders to improve the completeness of opportunity, quote and closed\-deal information. Create dashboards by source, campaign, event, market, territory and salesperson. Report lead volume, response time, qualification rates, funnel conversion, pipeline, revenue, cost per qualified opportunity and ROI. Identify funnel leakage and present the VP of Marketing with concise findings, decisions required and recommended actions.

Trade Shows \& Events

  • Own the lead\-management process before, during and after every trade show. Evaluate leading trade\-show lead\-capture platforms and select the best fit based on badge scanning, custom qualification, offline operation, ease of use, HubSpot integration, routing, reporting and cost. Implement and manage the selected platform and its connection to HubSpot. Create standardized capture forms with required qualification questions, interests, urgency, buying timeline, notes and next actions. Test scanning, synchronization, routing, alerts and follow\-up workflows before each event, and train booth staff on correct use. Route urgent opportunities immediately and launch the first post\-event follow\-up within 12–18 hours after the event ends. Create automated communications, call lists, sales tasks, alerts and follow\-up dashboards. Report event cost, lead quality, opportunities, pipeline, revenue and ROI; recommend which events to expand, improve or discontinue.

Project, Vendor \& Budget Management

  • Build and maintain project plans with clear deliverables, owners, dependencies and deadlines. Manage agencies, lead providers, software partners, freelancers and event vendors. Hold internal and external contributors accountable for agreed\-upon work and deadlines. Track campaign and event spending, purchase requests, invoices and vendor performance. Create reusable briefs, checklists, templates and standard operating procedures.

What You Bring

  • Five or more years of B2B experience spanning demand generation, marketing operations and integrated campaign execution. Strong, hands\-on HubSpot experience, including workflows, automation, lifecycle stages, attribution, reporting and data quality. Demonstrated ownership of multiple lead sources and the ability to connect source performance to qualified pipeline and revenue. A track record of taking campaigns from a business objective through execution, sales follow\-up and performance reporting. Experience evaluating, implementing or operating trade\-show lead\-capture technology and CRM integrations. Strong understanding of Marketing\-to\-BDR\-to\-Sales handoffs and response\-time expectations. Experience managing cross\-functional projects, agencies, vendors, timelines and budgets. Strong analytical judgment: able to diagnose what the numbers mean and recommend what to do next. Exceptional organization, persistence and follow\-through, with the confidence to create structure from broad direction. Ability to work primarily during Eastern Time business hours and travel occasionally.

Preferred Experience

  • HubSpot certifications or equivalent advanced platform experience. Marketing within construction, modular buildings, equipment rental, education, government or another project\-based B2B market. Long, consultative or project\-based sales cycles involving multiple contacts and buying stages. Account\-based, territory\-based or vertical\-specific demand\-generation programs. Supporting geographically distributed sales teams and working with third\-party lead providers or industry databases.

How Success Will Be Measured

  • Qualified pipeline and revenue generated by each lead source, campaign and trade show. Cost per qualified opportunity and return on marketing investment. Lead\-response time and Marketing\-to\-Sales handoff completion. MQL\-to\-SQL, SQL\-to\-opportunity and opportunity\-to\-sale conversion rates. Accuracy and completeness of source attribution and HubSpot data. Campaigns and projects completed accurately and on schedule. Trade\-show follow\-up launched within 12–18 hours. Reduced day\-to\-day execution burden on the VP of Marketing.

What Success Looks Like in the First Six Months

  • Lead\-source clarity. Every source is documented, correctly tracked and evaluated against pipeline and revenue. Trusted reporting. Leadership can see the path from original source through quote, sale and revenue. Reliable execution. Campaigns have clear plans, owners, deadlines, quality checks and post\-launch reporting. Faster follow\-up. Leads are routed quickly, response expectations are visible and exceptions are escalated. Event discipline. Trade\-show capture, qualification, routing and 12–18\-hour follow\-up are standardized. Actionable decisions. The VP of Marketing receives clear recommendations about what to scale, fix, test or stop.
