STATUS: Full time / Exempt

LOCATION:Chicago, Illinois (Hybrid: 2 days/week on\-site, 3 days/week remote)

JOB SUMMARY We are seeking a talented senior operations manager to join our Consolidated Services (CS) team. The ideal candidate will bring value to the team by overseeing daily business and office operations while ensuring efficiency and fostering cross\-functional collaboration across administrative and support functions.

Reporting to the Director, Consolidated Services, the Senior Business Operations Manager will lead a team responsible for delivering high\-quality internal services and will play a key role in enabling departments to achieve organizational objectives. This role will work in a professional, in‑office environment supporting experienced professionals across the organization. We are seeking someone who has built their operations experience supporting professional teams in a corporate or office‑based setting.

RESPONSIBILITIES* Oversee the organization’s facilities, including maintenance, safety, security and space planning, capital improvement planning, vendor management for facility service providers, align workplace strategy with organizational needs and growth.

  • Lead centralized NCSBN invoice intake, processing and workflow management, establish internal controls and documentation, identify automation and workflow optimization opportunities, ensure vendor payment timelines and contractual adherence.
  • Oversee cross\-functional onboarding and offboarding processes, ensure compliance and access control, documentation accuracy, develop standardized workflow and continuous improvement initiatives, monitor and report on transition metrics and service experiences, establish content review cadence and publishing standards.
  • Lead maintenance of business continuity and disaster recovery plans, conduct operational risk assessments and business impact analyses.
  • Provide operational leadership to the Business Operations and Nursys teams, ensuring alignment, performance excellence, and delivery of organizational priorities. For Nursys, this will include partnering with the Nursys Business Owner to support system enhancements and issue resolution, monitor operational risks and regulatory compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS* Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required.

  • Minimum of seven years of experience in a similar role and supervisory experience required.
  • Knowledge of business operations management, including facilities, vendor management, and administrative services.
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies and operations best practices.
  • Knowledge of business continuity planning and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Knowledge of enterprise systems and platforms.
  • Knowledge of organizational structure and cross\-functional workflows.
  • Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and drive decision\-making.
  • Ability to develop, track, and report on key performance indicators.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, understanding of databases, Web, HTML, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM).

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The anticipated starting salary for this position is $86,000 \- $100,000 annually. Actual compensation will be dependent on a candidate’s relevant experience, skills, training, certifications/licenses, qualifications and geographical location.
