Pacific Life is seeking an Onboarding Program Lead to design, deliver, and sustain a unified onboarding experience for all Consumer Markets Division new hires. This role owns the end to end CMD onboarding program, ensuring new employees quickly understand how CMD operates, how value is created, and how their roles directly support Pacific Life’s enterprise strategy, Strategy Next.
The Program Lead will ensure a consistent, high quality onboarding experience across CMD through a blended model of virtual learning and in person workshops. The role requires a strong combination of instructional design expertise, program management skills, and deep understanding of the insurance and financial services environment. It is critical to strengthening strategy execution and reinforcing a shared CMD culture.
How you’ll help move us forward
Program Ownership and Strategy
- Own the design, execution, and long‑term evolution of the CMD Onboarding Program
- Translate enterprise Strategy Next priorities into clear, actionable CMD onboarding content
- Ensure alignment between CMD onboarding, enterprise onboarding, and departmental onboarding
Program Design and Delivery
- Lead the development and maintenance of CMD onboarding curriculum and learning pathways
- Oversee delivery of virtual sessions and in‑person workshops focused on CMD business context, collaboration, and applied decision‑making
- Partner with facilitators and leaders to ensure consistent, engaging learner experiences
Cross‑Functional Coordination
- Collaborate closely with HR, Talent, Learning, and CMD leadership to align content, scheduling, and messaging
- Engage subject matter experts and senior leaders to contribute strategic perspectives and participate in select sessions
- Coordinate logistics, enrollment processes, and learning technology configuration
Measurement and Continuous Improvement
- Define and track success metrics such as readiness, engagement, and time‑to‑contribution
- Gather and analyze feedback from participants, managers, and stakeholders
- Continuously refine program content and delivery based on business needs and strategy evolution
Governance and Sustainability
- Ensure program consistency, quality, and scalability as CMD grows
- Maintain curriculum relevance as CMD strategy, operating model, systems, and tools evolve
- Establish standards and documentation to support repeatable delivery
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Human Resources, or related field. Masters preferred, or equivalent related experience. (Master’s preferred).
- 10\+ years of experience in learning and development, preferably within insurance financial services
- Proven experience leading onboarding, learning, or enterprise programs with broad business impact
- Strong understanding of business operations, strategy alignment, and organizational change
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex initiatives across multiple stakeholders
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and executive presence skills
Base Pay Range
The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
