About This Role
DIRECTOR OF SALES – SPORTS TECHNOLOGY
Platform of Greatness (POG) Remote \| Commission\-Based \| Uncapped Earnings
ABOUT PLATFORM OF GREATNESS
Platform of Greatness (POG) is building a comprehensive sports network and management ecosystem that connects athletes, parents, coaches, teams, leagues, organizations, venues, camps, tournaments, sports\-industry companies, and fans.
POG provides integrated tools for scheduling, registration, team and league management, communication, payments, statistics, community engagement, Marketplace commerce, and other sports operations.
The platform currently supports 48 sports, with our initial commercial focus centered on youth hockey and soccer. As POG moves through its pilot and early\-growth stages, we are building the sales organization responsible for converting industry relationships into sustainable platform adoption and advertising revenue.
THE OPPORTUNITY
POG is seeking an experienced, driven, and highly disciplined Director of Sales.
This is a hands\-on player\-coach position. You will initially sell directly by developing the pipeline, leading discovery, demonstrating the platform, preparing proposals, negotiating agreements, and closing business.
You will sell across three connected commercial channels:
- Advertising, sponsorships, and strategic brand partnerships
- Platform onboarding for teams, leagues, clubs, venues, camps, and tournaments
- Marketplace onboarding and activation for sports\-industry companies
You will also help build POG’s repeatable sales operating system. As defined revenue, pipeline, activation, and retention milestones are achieved, you will help recruit, train, and manage the company’s broader sales organization.
COMPENSATION
Important: This position begins as a commission\-based opportunity without a guaranteed base salary.
It is designed for an established sports\-industry salesperson seeking meaningful immediate commission potential, recurring participation in the accounts they originate, uncapped earnings, and the opportunity to build and lead a larger commercial organization.
Commissions are calculated on eligible revenue actually collected by POG.
Advertising and Sponsorship Commissions
- Local advertising contracts under $10,000: 30% initial commission
- Actively managed local advertising renewals: 12\.5%
- Regional advertising contracts from $10,000 to $49,999: 25% initial commission
- Actively managed regional advertising renewals: 10%
- National and strategic contracts of $50,000 or more: 20% initial commission, unless otherwise approved
- Actively managed national and strategic renewals: 7\.5% to 10%
- Qualified introductions where POG manages the sale and account: 7\.5%
Organization Platform\-Fee Commissions
- 30% of eligible POG platform fees collected during months 1 through 12
- 15% of eligible POG platform fees collected during months 13 through 24
Additional Incentives
- An additional 5% cross\-sell bonus when you both onboard an eligible sports organization and close an associated advertising relationship
- Quarterly performance bonuses ranging from $1,000 to $7,500 based on collected advertising revenue
- Potential management overrides when you recruit and actively manage approved sales representatives
- Uncapped commission potential as the commercial portfolio expands
- Potential transition into a salaried executive leadership position when company revenue supports it
- Potential eligibility for a separately negotiated, performance\-based equity program following an initial evaluation period
All compensation will be governed by a written agreement covering account attribution, eligible revenue, collections, renewals, refunds, chargebacks, commission periods, and post\-termination commissions.
ILLUSTRATIVE EARNINGS OPPORTUNITY
Based on POG’s current first\-year operating projections, the initial commercial portfolio may support approximately $63,000 to $74,000 or more in total commission and performance compensation if the Director personally originates and remains eligible for the applicable revenue.
This is an earnings illustration—not guaranteed compensation or historically established on\-target earnings. Actual earnings will depend on individual production, collected revenue, contract composition, account attribution, renewals, refunds, and performance thresholds.

- Experience building an early\-stage sales process or launching a new commercial territory
- Previous responsibility for recruiting, training, and managing sales representatives
- Familiarity with sports registration, scheduling, payments, ticketing, or team\-management platforms
