THE OPERATIONAL AND FINANCIAL ENGINE OF THE BUSINESS.

We’re looking for an analytical, hands-on operator who can hold our RCM partner accountable in the morning and help shape the CEO’s Board deck in the afternoon. Someone who sees the connection between a denial trend and the cash forecast—and does something about it.

We are scaling—and we want a Revenue Operations & Finance Manager who wants to help build what comes next. This critical, full-time role reports to our Chief Operating Officer and works closely with our CEO and fractional Controller, with meaningful exposure to executive leadership and our private equity and lending partners.

This role bridges the gap between daily laboratory operations, revenue collection, and executive strategy. You will divide your focus between driving cash optimization by holding our third-party Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) partner accountable and analyzing financial trends that help the CEO and Controller deliver PE-ready monthly reporting packages.

BECOME OUR RCM DATA DETECTIVE

REVENUE OPERATIONS & VENDOR ACCOUNTABILITY COO DIRECTIVE

Our revenue is 100% reimbursement-driven, including Medicare. We partner with a third-party RCM organization—and you will be their primary operational point of contact, responsible for making sure they deliver.

• Actively manage and audit our RCM partner’s performance against strict contract Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Analyze daily and weekly payer denial trends, clearinghouse logs, and underpayments.
• Direct the RCM partner on targeted appeal strategies to maximize cash collections.
• Monitor and improve critical healthcare billing KPIs, including driving down Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and optimizing the Clean Claim Rate (CCR).
• Audit reimbursement rates against third-party payer contracts to identify systemic underpayments, contract deviations, and fee schedule discrepancies.
• Walk into an RCM meeting prepared to ask: “I see the numbers. Now explain what is driving this trend.”

TURN DATA INTO DECISIONS

FINANCIAL ANALYSIS & EXECUTIVE REPORTING CEO & CONTROLLER SUPPORT

Real Diagnostics is a data-rich healthcare organization, and we want to become significantly better at using that data to make smarter decisions.

• Evaluate complex datasets to identify operational and financial trends, including volume fluctuations, payer mix shifts, geographic margins, and cost-per-test metrics.
• Collaborate with our fractional Controller during the month-end close to reconcile operational billing logs with ledger revenue and cash deposits.
• Translate raw financial data into executive narratives, helping prepare the monthly management discussion and analysis (MD&A) and variance reports (Actual vs. Budget).
• Build core operational slides for the CEO’s Board deck.
• Maintain and update a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast based on real-time RCM collection metrics.

OPERATIONAL ENOUGH FOR THE LAB. STRATEGIC ENOUGH FOR THE BOARD.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related quantitative field
• 4–6 years of healthcare corporate finance, Rev Ops, or Revenue cycle mgt, or practice management experience
• Advanced Excel (financial modeling, VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)
• Ability to distill complex billing data into concise summaries

PREFERRED

• Direct experience in a diagnostic laboratory environment
• Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) software
• Experience with laboratory billing clearinghouses

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Base Salary: $120,000 – $135,000, commensurate with experience.
• Bonus: Eligible for an annual bonus tied to performance metrics (see Appendix).

• An RCM partner held accountable based on metrics you help develop (avg reimbursement rates, billing exceptions, DSO, etc.).
• Underpayments identified and pursued, and a reliable forecasting to support CEO and Board.
• Provide Analysis and insights across the organization to assist Board reporting—a reputation as a trusted partner to leadership.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
