About This Role

About the Opportunity

The organization is seeking a Sales Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of an inside sales team focused on qualifying leads and booking onsite appointments for contractor clients. This role is responsible for ensuring the team is fully staffed, trained, and consistently meeting key operational benchmarks.

Working closely with sales operations and operations leadership, this individual will take full ownership of team performance, optimize ongoing workflows, and help build operational playbooks in a rapidly evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day team operations, including schedules, lead coverage, weekend rotations, and attendance.
  • Hire, onboard, and ramp new sales representatives to drive rapid productivity.
  • Review call recordings and deliver daily, actionable coaching to improve representative performance.
  • Monitor and analyze core performance metrics, including speed to lead, contact rate, booking rate, and show rate, intervening proactively when performance slips.
  • Address performance concerns directly and conduct candid performance management conversations.
  • Create and maintain clear operational documentation to ensure scalable and repeatable processes.
  • Identify friction points and breakdowns in workflows and implement effective, lasting solutions.
  • Assume full ownership of team execution within the first two weeks and regularly report on team metrics.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience managing a team with direct accountability for performance metrics and team outcomes.
  • Prior hands-on experience selling or booking appointments directly over the phone.
  • Proven ability to analyze call performance and provide specific, impactful coaching to representatives.
  • Experience conducting direct, constructive performance management conversations.
  • Strong proactive problem-solving skills, with the ability to detect emerging performance issues before they impact key results.
  • High degree of organization and self-direction, with the capability to manage team workflows without close oversight.
  • Comfort operating in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment where processes and team scope evolve quickly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience running an inside sales or appointment-setting team.
  • Previous experience as a team lead or sales floor manager providing daily representative coaching.
  • Background in sales operations or support operations that included direct people management rather than reporting alone.
  • Industry experience within home services or remodeling managing teams that schedule in-home appointments.

Work Schedule and Location

  • Employment type: Full time
  • Location: Remote (United States)
  • Workload expectation: 60–70 hours per week
  • Schedule: Coverage aligned with incoming lead volume, including scheduled weekend rotations

Compensation

  • Total compensation: $130,000–$250,000 per year (base salary plus equity)

Equal Opportunity Employer

The organization is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, ancestry, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, pregnancy status, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
