About This Role
About The Retirement Solution
The Retirement Solution is a Pacific Northwest\-based retirement planning firm helping clients move from accumulating wealth to actually living their retirement. Our marketing engine is scaling fast, and we need a senior operator to take ownership of the systems, data, and processes that power it.
About The Role
Our Marketing Operations Manager is a new, high\-visibility role. You'll be the administrator of our marketing tech stack, including Salesforce, campaigns, attribution, and reporting, and the person who turns a growing, increasingly complex operation into something clean, fast, and scalable. You'll work directly with our Director of Marketing, partner closely with the broader marketing team, and have real influence over how this function is built for the next phase of the company's growth.
We're looking for someone who's outgrown execution\-only work: a systems thinker with deep Salesforce fluency who gets genuine satisfaction from finding and fixing inefficiency, who can bring structure to ambiguity, and who wants to grow with the role as our marketing organization matures.
What You'll Do
- Systems Architecture \& Optimization*
· Own our Salesforce and Marketing ecosystem end\-to\-end: architecture, data model, automation, and integration health
· Audit existing systems and processes, identify inefficiencies, and lead the redesign: you're not just maintaining what exists, you're rebuilding it to scale
· Build and document repeatable, well\-governed processes so campaigns and reporting run smoothly as the team and client base grow
· Know when to bring in outside expertise (consultants, agencies, specialists) versus solving it in\-house, and manage those relationships effectively
- Email \& Campaign Operations*
· Own end\-to\-end execution of all email programs in Pardot, including client communications, drip campaigns, event invitations, and nurture sequences
· Drive deliverability, list hygiene, segmentation, and automation strategy, partnering with outside specialists where useful
· Build and maintain landing pages that convert, working with the marketing team on copy and design
· Manage the full campaign lifecycle from brief to build to launch to post\-mortem, with an eye toward continuously tightening the process
- Salesforce Leadership*
· Serve as our marketing\-side Salesforce expert: campaign tracking, lead routing, list management, and data hygiene
· Maintain clean, reliable integrations between Salesforce, our website, and the rest of our stack
· Partner cross\-functionally with sales, ops, and leadership to make sure Salesforce serves the whole business, not just marketing
- Analytics \& Reporting*
· Build dashboards and reports that clearly answer: what's working, what isn't, and what we should do next
· Track performance across email, web, events, and campaigns, and translate the numbers into recommendations leadership can act on
· Set up attribution and tracking so we understand the full client journey end to end
- Cross\-Channel Oversight (Nice\-to\-have)*
· Help oversee paid and social campaigns at a strategic and operational level, ensuring they're tracked, measured, and integrated with the rest of our marketing
What We're Looking For
- Must\-haves*
· 6–9 years in marketing operations, demand generation, or a similar systems\-focused marketing role, with a track record of increasing ownership
· Deep, hands\-on Salesforce expertise: you can build campaigns, reports, and integrations without help, and you're comfortable being the go\-to Salesforce person for a growing org
· Strong Pardot experience (or a comparable enterprise marketing automation platform, such as HubSpot, Marketo, or Eloqua) with real fluency in automation, segmentation, and deliverability
· Proven ability to take a messy or under\-built system and turn it into something clean, documented, and scalable
· Real reporting chops: you can build a dashboard, spot the story in the data, and explain it to non\-technical stakeholders
· Comfort building and managing landing pages (whether through a CMS, page builder, or email platform)
· A systems mindset: you naturally think in workflows, processes, and how things connect, and you have low tolerance for inefficiency
- Nice\-to\-haves*
· Experience overseeing paid media (Google, Meta, LinkedIn) and social campaigns
· Background in financial services, wealth management, or another regulated industry
· Familiarity with compliance considerations in marketing communications
· Experience managing external consultants and agencies
Who You Are
· Self\-directed and ambitious: you want to own outcomes, not just tasks, and you're looking for a role that grows with you
· A natural systems thinker who gets energized by finding inefficiencies and building the fix
· Technically strong, with the judgment to know when to bring in outside expertise rather than force it yourself
· Calm under pressure: campaigns break, deadlines move, and you handle it
· A clear communicator, in writing, in meetings, and especially in reports
· Comfortable working across different groups and personalities, and skilled at holding priorities steady amid competing asks
· Curious about the business, not just the marketing: you want to understand why we do what we do
