Our product portfolio spans the periodic table, and we have an experienced technical team developing innovative new products.
We’re looking for a Sales Operations Coordinator to join our team for this challenging and detail-oriented position.
- Coordinate daily activities for quote requests and sales orders, maintain databases of all requests, and communicate with customers and internal departments on customer requirements and expectations.
- Coordinate quotes and purchase orders with operations, manufacturing, purchasing, finance, and outside sales.
- Work with other departments to ensure the highest customer satisfaction and build customer loyalty.
Must have reliable transportation
Duties
- Enter quotations, sales orders, and delivery requests accurately, resolving any discrepancies with customer paperwork prior to delivery.
- Collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain, and Quality teams in order to assure product and material availability, competitive pricing, accuracy, and prompt delivery.
- Maintain and update customer records.
- Manage inventory levels and delivery schedules for customer consignment portals.
- Work with Operations on order scheduling and lead time.
- Communicate directly with customers on RFQs and Open Order status.
- Assist credit department in collections and account resolution.
- Proactively strive to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the sales organization and planning efforts
- Assist sales management in understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies
- Support contract review and new customer activation process
- Lead process improvements in Sales Operations to reduce lead time and increase efficiencies
- Coordinate receipt of customer-supplied material
- Support introduction of new business/processes into Sales department
Experience
- BA / BS degree in a relevant field
- 8+ years of experience in customer service in a relevant industry
Skills
- Organization and attention to detail are crucial
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proven business sense and problem-solving, project management, and analytical skills
- Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance
- Motivated and energetic with a positive attitude
- Experience in a manufacturing company is required
- Experience in developing sales forecasts is preferred
Education
- BA / BS degree in a relevant field preferred
