Sales \& Marketing Operations Manager

Position Overview
This role will drive revenue growth through direct sales execution (70%) supported by marketing operations (30%). You'll own sales of LearnWorld LMS courses, develop B2B partnerships, execute direct sales at conferences and career fairs, and lead Member/Emerging Member recruitment. You'll also build and optimize marketing funnels, manage campaigns, and leverage automation to support your sales efforts. This position reports directly to the Founder/CEO and is responsible for generating revenue through relationship\-building and strategic selling that aligns with our mission and values\-based approach.
Core Responsibilities
- LearnWorld LMS Sales \& Direct Course Sales
Drive individual course sales and full program enrollments through the LearnWorld platform. Build relationships with prospective learners, conduct consultative sales conversations, and close deals. Optimize pricing strategies and promotional approaches to maximize course revenue.
- B2B Sales \& Partnership Development
Identify, prospect, and close B2B partnerships with organizations that can benefit from our courses and tools. Develop partnership proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage the sales cycle from initial contact through contract signature. Build long\-term relationships that generate recurring revenue.
- Direct Sales at Conferences \& Career Fairs
Represent the organization at 4\-6 conferences and career fairs annually. Staff booths, conduct product demonstrations, capture leads, and close sales on\-site. Follow up with leads post\-event to convert interest into revenue.
- Member \& Emerging Member Recruitment (2026 Launch)
Lead sales and recruitment efforts for Member and Emerging Member programs launching in 2026\. Build relationships with prospective members, articulate value propositions, conduct enrollment conversations, and close membership sales. Balance transactional efficiency with relational community\-building.
- Marketing Operations \& Funnel Optimization (Supporting Function)
Build and optimize sales funnels, create email campaigns, manage marketing automation, and analyze conversion metrics to support your sales efforts. Use marketing operations to generate qualified leads and warm prospects for your direct sales activities.
- Market Channel Strategy \& Revenue Analytics
Recommend optimal market channels and positioning strategies for specific courses and tools based on your direct sales experience and market feedback. Track sales metrics, analyze performance data, and provide revenue forecasting and reporting.
- CRM \& Sales Technology Management
Manage CRM systems, sales tracking tools, and marketing technology stack to optimize your sales process. Maintain accurate pipeline data, track customer interactions, and ensure seamless handoffs when needed.

Required Skills \& ExperienceProfessional Experience
- 5\+ years proven sales experience with documented revenue results
- Nonprofit sales or mission\-driven sales experience strongly preferred \- familiarity with values\-based selling approaches
- Experience in education, nonprofit, or technology sectors preferred
- B2B sales experience required \- demonstrated ability to close partnership deals
- Direct sales experience at conferences, trade shows, or career fairs preferred
- Marketing operations experience helpful but not required \- we can teach the technical tools
Technical Skills
- CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) \- required
- LMS platform experience helpful (LearnWorld experience a plus)
- Email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar) \- helpful
- Basic marketing automation and funnel building \- helpful
- Sales analytics and reporting tools
- Proficiency with Google Suite/Microsoft Office
Education \& Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Sales certifications or training programs are a plus
Compensation Structure
This role begins as a fractional position (15\-20 hours/week) with commission\-based compensation, transitioning to base salary \+ commission as revenue sustainability is demonstrated and with board approval.
Pay: $43,952\.30 \- $74,974\.81 per year
